After we got caught and our parents picked us up the next Monday we got called down to the Vice principals office, apparently the police let our school now what happened and when they said we were gonna be suspended he (my friend) was saying “my dads gonna get beat the shit out of me” and I was like “yeah me too” come to find out he wasn’t kidding. His dad was an abusive and habitually beat tf out of him, his siblings and his mom. Sure enough he told the school what was going on at home and told them what I said too so they got CPS involved at his house AND mine, I had to explain I didn’t think he seriously meant his dad would beat him up…. She heard them calling him light skin in class and said, "what if i made fun of how dark you guys are, get out of here with that racism". Kids were like "we can't be racist cuz we're black". She sent em to the principal's anyways and was gonna call their parents too. It was kinda crazy cuz she raised her voice and she was usually so calm. I saw after class she talked to the kid and was crying with him and hugging him. She said that's not right or fair to be treated like that cuz of his skin color. He was actually feeling a lot better in classes after that. I'd never seen a teacher be so compassionate like that before. Or see black on black racism either. You see lotta shit in high school

There were many props some of which were giant inflatable crayons. This teacher seemed to be kind of unstable and ran late a lot because this class was the first period of the day and this was out in one of portables. Anyway one of these days she ran really late and what could only be described as a full out melee broke out where a class of like 25 or so was beating the fuck out of each other with these crayons. The teacher eventually arrived, and started crying when she witnessed the chaos. Class ended up cancelled that day. To put her into context she had numerous days where she was late and ended up having to leave class emotionally, my younger sister took her class the very next year.
