I remember you posting about this on facebook at the time. What a country where the cops are more interested in Strawberry Creams than another human.

Collecting visas for West coast, a real thrill of crazy job. I'm getting ready for the same when i get there soon. I'm hearing your kind of experience for the first time where u show up at Nigeria boarder and get helped to go in the country to get visas... I could guess it's because you were too nice and kind to officers..... Amazing what can happen. I will approach Nigeria via Cameroon and i expect to get my Nigeria visa from Cameroon. Otherwise i love every inch of your trip, so helpful and nice

We had to book the Nigerian e-visa online and were then escorted from immigration at the border to the airport in Lagos for the actual visa to be issued and had problems with corruption there. They put you under pressure during the process and then offer you a chance to solve the problem with a cash payment. Not fun at all. The visas (for us South Africans) were expensive for West Africa and we spent a lot of time in cities just trying to get visas. The visa for the DRC was a problem, but we managed to get it all sorted. Good luck and enjoy the journey.

@@OverlandingMan WOW. This is amazing. The beauty of traveling. U mentioned DRC visa, I'm planning on getting my DRC visa from Namibia or Angola as a Ugandan passport holder and I wish it will be not a huge trouble... Lol. Either way I will. I'm following up on the various videos u posted, so rich information, I'm grateful for your kindness

I used to follow the journey 11 awhile back and kept wondering what happened to the uploads on my favourite channel. Happy to have discovered this today. I am glad you got out safely. Please keep uploading.

Hi Tim. It took a long time for Luisa to dig back into the video making, she first had to get through the Nigeria footage and that meant reliving the experience, which she was not quite ready to do. She is back on track and has teamed up with Keelan to document the journey to Russia. Thanks for watching! Graeme.

This is what I love about the videos you produce. Very much honest and setting what should be the expected tone. Not this highlights trash you so often get! I know this was a fair while back. I'm just glad you're all safe and sound!

I didn't know Craghoppers did a Kiwi Pro Bikini. Also not sure what kind of extra views you'll be attracting but best of luck with that. I'll just try to remember to dab a bit of Vaseline on my glasses before viewing.

Try overlanding through India - sights like this were quite a common view when we did it 20 years ago.

Hey now, I live in Colorado and we don't have vehicle inspections. You will get harassed by the cops if your vehicle is blatantly breaking laws tho.

We passed through Nigeria in last year May. It's been a challenge getting it out, as we published two books during the year, unfortunately it's been published a little late

People don't stop because it's dangerous. If you stop the villagers will accuse of knocking him down and will demand money from you or worse. That being said, the offender should have taken the man to the nearest hospital for "treatment". Maybe they didn't want the hassle of paying for his expenses.

We did a complete service when in Cameroon. Nigerian oil has a scratch pad with a barcode on the bottle, you call the number, provide them with the barcode and they tell you if it's geniune.... Yip, TIA!
