@@LegalLens-1512 he makes some very valid points that as lawyers, we shouldn't take cases that violate sharia, particular when dealing with Muslim clients. His emphasis relates primarily to family law and interpersonal disputes. I would be curious to hear more about what he thinks about big law and its work with corporations that have little to no ethical principles. Likewise, the sheikh's logic would likely prove detrimental in a cutthroat corporate environment where if you a refuse a case on religious grounds, it will likely not bode well for your employment.

@@quisabest Absolutely, no corporation would offer employment if we refused a case on religious grounds. This might happen when someone reaches the highest echelons of their career, at which point they have the choice of which cases to pursue and which ones to decline... by the way where r u from?

@@LegalLens-1512 I am from New York where the corporate law structure is highly competitive and cut throat. I totally agree that it is a sign of privilege to be able to do what the sheikh asks of us without being quickly fired.
