This is absolutely the finest music ever! The finest musicians on the planet ever! David, Marcus,Boz, Hiram, just the whole guest band !! They just dont make music 🎶 like this anymore every week they hosted someone! The good ole days ! I remember watching this every Sunday nights on NBC in the late 80s and early 90s !

Hello, I can't tell you how appreciative I am that you're in the process uploading the "missing" episodes of both Night Music and Sunday Night. I have all of the episodes on VHS but those tapes have seen better days so I've enjoyed the ones that crosscurrentjazz posted but, and wouldn't you know it, some of my favorite artists are on the three I still haven't seen since back in 1989. If you happen to have episodes 101 202 213 and were to post them you would make my quarantined day. Comments matter so I am posting this on each of your Night Music postings.

Thanks! There seems to be music in several episodes that get the shows pulled from YT over copyrights. I just checked and the three episodes you mention did not make it to digital, so the original tapes must have been unplayable. We've lost around 10 percent of the betas to aging, some even had mold on the tape. Hopefully those three will turn up eventually online, sorry we can't help!

Watch Hiram goofing with the horn section on the second chorus of “Runnin’”; he gets Bargeron to crack up at 32:04!

Hes human even Jordan missed a dunk from time to time lol...but that's what makes a great musician making a error and immediately recovering and keeping the groove going..besides acoustic bass isn't his primary instrument so he gets a pass lol

Does anyone know titles for the two songs that Anson Funderburgh plays? The first one, a medium boppish blues, is at 36:13, followed by a slow blues at 38:32. Thanks!

@@clink460 Great, thanks! Still wondering about the second tune, the slower blues. Sounds like it might not be an actual "song" as such, but just a straight blues with no head...

Bad mix. Horns overpowered the guitars. Boz and Anson got drowned out. Good jams though.
