Good job Garth. The funny thing about this song is that it has my name on it. My Parents are jealous.

He does sing this great version but he didn’t write it. It was written in 1975 by Michael Burton and recorded by Jerry Jeff Walker.

The first time I heard this song was on the Jerry Jeff Walker album "Ridin High" around 1975. This song resonated deeply with me. I was in high school, and JJW was one of the many concerts I attended here in the Phoenix area. It was a teenagers smorgasbord of great musicians at that time(Bruce Springsteen, The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, and so many more).
