Wharton in for Trent, either Gordon or Palmer on the left (just non existent left side atm) and a left footed Lb. I don't mind Trent in the middle, but why play him if a) no one runs in behind, Kane doesnt, left doesnt, Saka cuts in. And b) play Trent v low blocks, he's a better pick with runners in behind against teams try to attack. Simple question is how do you intend to score? If you don't know the answer it's not the players fault.

Then straight after Trent put in a great ball behind for Saka, he was subbed for Gallagher who ran around like a lost puppy, losing the ball and fouling everyone. If you want to get the best out of Trent then there needs to be movement from the attackers. Kane is an issue, he looks like he can’t even run anymore. There was a lot of people on that pitch that were far worse than Trent, he’s just becoming a scapegoat and it’s a joke.

We had zero answers to a standard professional press. Was pretty embarrassing. I though Foden did well today, getting the ball in the half spaces, driving the ball forward believing in his ability. Guehi was great, I thought Trent was also fine but Rice....fuuuucking hell man...invisible or a liability. Absolutely no ability to absorb the press and play out. Wasn't nice to watch

Why is he talking like Trent is not a generational talent? Also Trent doing nothing, how is he supposed to spray the ball around when attackers have no movement 🤦♂

We have no threat on the left… Foden goes missing playing on the left and Trippier is ineffective. I’m not blaming either because they’re both quality and worthy. However we have a clueless manager who cannot get the most out of our obvious talent . I hate watching England play…at the end of the day…you’ve got to blame the F.A for their obvious choice of ‘yes man, spineless,do as your told ethics’ when it comes to England managers….three words …Clough…Redknapp..Allardyce…The suits at the F.A don’t won’t an England manager with a bit about him.because they’re quite happy with the status quo..they can continue drawing they’re six figure salaries whether we win lose or draw…the last thing they all need is someone like one of the above to go public and lift the lid on this little gravy train we won’t win nothing with the current bunch of stiffs pulling the strings

“Generational talents” and he’s speaking about ADAM WHARTON and mainoo. Maybe they are world class potential but not GENERATIONAL. Football discourse has butchered this term. Mbappe is generational . This word should be received for that level .

Had to comment buv. You got this one wrong, I'm sorry. You're talking as if Trent isn't a generational talent. He is one of the best long passers of the ball ever and has the ability to create something out of nothing. Don't bring up the other names just because they've had some success this season, Trent has won everything.

True….. At rb. But he is barely a mid prem level midfielder.

@dodgysmum8340 i hear you, but the same people would say he can't play RB because of horrible defending.

Bro talking about Trent like he’s a bum. Play him Rb, I know city fans protect Walker, but he’s ass now, so play Trent there. Also, saying he’ll hold his hands up if Mainoo scores an own goal, but Trent literally hasn’t done anything close to that, but he’s the reason Southgate can’t coach to save his life
