Nightwish are official ambassadors for the World Land Trust and have a nature reserve bearing their name. To add to your appreciation, watch a live version from the current tour. I recommend Hellfesr 2022, not for the video (it has a minute of blackout while they are taking bows) but because when Floor sings the final part it is the best version I have heard by a country Mike. That final note too, hardly noticeable on the official video, is incredibly impactful and lasts much longer live. Try it.

Tuomas originally asked Sir David Attenborough to read the opening text, which is part of a longer speech by Carl Sagan. But he had to decline citing a very urgent schedule. However, he sent Tuomas a handwritten letter apologizing for the situation. That's why the English actress was the speaker at the beginning. But I think her voice fits well. Indeed, Nightwish has been one of the World Land Trust's joint partners ever since and they make regular donations. The World Land Trust has even named a nature reserve park after Nightwish!!! So now there are a number of things named after either Nightwish or one of its members: 1. Nature reserve park (Nightwish) 2. black tulip (Nightwish) 3. stone age shelter ("Alpenglow") 4. small fossil (Nightwish) 5. insect (Floor) 6. insect (Tuomas)

Wonderful music, a very important message and I love your reaction, Jynger! They end the shows in the current tour with this song. The music comes from tape after they took their bows, Floor sings her vocals live and the guys stand behind her...goosebumps, every time! Emppu quite often cries during the bows and when Floor does her vocals. You love this band and our planet and I love all three of you! Thank you for this beautiful reaction.

The blue dot against the black back round of open space. So insignificent, so inconsequential in the greater vastness of things. Yet we beg, borrow, steal, fight over and kill over about every square inch of available space we can. We too are an endangered speices, but don't think of ourselves that way. Thank you Nightwish and JyngerSlapz, I get a lot of enjoyment from your channel.

This is the song that ends the 2nd (symphonic) side of the Human :II: Nature record. They also close their current live show with this song. The boys stand to the left and right behind Floor as she moves to the microphone and unleashes her amazing voice to close the show. Truly awe inspiring to behold. We are so happy to have you with us on this amazing planet. So you aren't really an amphibian lover? Understandable. They are kind of slimy and rubbery skinned.

@JyngerSlapz: When I first heard this wonderful piece of auditory art, masterful in its composition, I am sure that if Dr. Sagan were alive today, he would wholeheartedly approve of this. This is why Tuomas is called our "Metal Mozart," for without his genius, his music, we would never have been introduced to a voice like Floor's. Never have had our hearts and souls affected in such ways. As I've said before, Tuomas will be studied long after he breathes his last, his legacy to this world an expression of the totality of the human experience. To show the world how much of imperfect perfections, reflected on shattered pieces of mirrored glass, this species we are, really is -- as we go about our lives on this, "a mote of dust, suspended in a sunbeam." It really makes one stop and wonder in awe, as we consider how small we really are in the grand scheme of things, on the large, impossibly vast stage of the universe.

Oh so glad you played this. Consider reacting to Ad Astra live in Toronto 2022. It’s recorded on a phone; not stellar audio… (maybe there is a better version out there?) However, it will bring back many memories within the NW Army. This is their ‘encore’ for their 2022 tour (at least for N. America). After seeing them live it was the perfect ending to a show. Watching them is like an intense workout. After a workout you can’t just suddenly sit and not move (you need a cool down). I’ve left a lot of great shows, having loved them, but feeling empty, having gone from high intensity to nothing. This Cool Down, which is beautiful, had me leaving with that Warm Glow….a feeling of contentment after seeing the best band in the world and the greatest vocalist ever. Thank you for conjuring up that great memory and the wonderful feeling following the show 😊

On the scale of the universe we are nothing....yet this vulnerable speck is all we have... We'd better take care of it. Our survival depends on it. A message that could not be in better hands than Nightwish. That's one of the reasons they are larger then large. They are also our conscience....The greatest show on earth is indeed the most important message anyone can bring to humanity. ... Yes, we all know this.... But it certainly does not hurt when Nightwish tells us the story packaged in musical sheer beauty. A beauty to the ears that blends so well with the beauty of nature ....

Remember that we all are brothers All people, beasts, trees, stone, and wind We all descend from the one Great Being That was always there Before people lived and named it Before the first seed sprouted I wonder if Tuomas talked with the members of Heilung when he was writing "All the Works Of Nature Which Adorn the World". They seem to have very similar messages, even if the approaches differ.

As an animal lover myself, I have to ask the other animal lovers why we should protect all the animals that exist now rather than letting them go extinct and making room for other possibly more incredible species to take their place? After all, if the species of the past all lived we wouldn't have the ones that live now, including humans. Is it possible that by trying to keep the ones that are dying off now alive, we are preventing nature from doing what should naturally happen, and hurting the ecosystem more? Just a little something to think about.
