I wish human birth was that fast, but she looked like she was in pain. Also she isn't hurting the baby, she's checking him over to make sure he's alright. She just looks like she was nervous about it. I'm sure she cleaned and fed him gently behind the rock.

the mother pretty much never eats their baby. Now, the groups alpha male, or other rivals will absolutely eat an infant if given a chance.

How AMAZING is that!! Every time I see births (human or animal), even with my own children, I can't help but to sit in awe of the beautiful, wisdom and power of God. The way He formed us to give birth, and every organ knows what is and is not suppose to do and THAT ACCORDING TO HIS DIVINE WILL AND PURPOSE!!! Even those situations we think are so horrific God has a perfect plan just right for it. Whatever IT might be. Thank You Lord, in ALL things I trust You! Have Thine on Way!

rob turner - that's nice, junior. Now put away your drool cup and go nappy-time. I know it's hard for wittle babies like you to try to think. Your teeny-tiny brain needs lots of rest. Oh, and try to not go poopoo in your diapers again tonight. Smooches!!!!

Yup, knows EXACTLY what not to do. That's why we need doctors to fix shit like a ruptured appendix or autoimmune diseases, or really just about anything else that isn't caused directly by an outside source. I have nothing against religion. I am definitely annoyed reading lengthy posts about "divine plans" and garbage though when I know I'VE been the one who's fixed what's wrong in my life through MY hard work, not some classified plan from a deity we don't even know for sure (as in, without a shadow of a doubt and as actual fact) exists. Say what you want about faith, but I'm just not wired that way. Can't we just watch monkeys having babies without dragging God into it on KZitem anymore? It's like every single video now is spammed by the same comments. Edit: Yes, I know the comment is old as Hell. My point still stands though. I'd just like to not have to read constant sermons from the same loud religions as if it's normalized to have that one aspect of human faith as the only one. I rarely see or hear anything from almost any other religion and it's sad.

Doing the best she can given she hasn't much other than instinct to go with....means she's awesome. She'd have gone right for the face with a bit of experience I'm thinking. These animals are so crazy social it can't be good having a little one in a damned cage with who knows how brutal companions. Go momma protect your little one well.

Wow, what a catch! One handed she grabbed that little one before it dropped off the cliff. There are many human males who would rather have seen it plummet 200 feet bouncing off rocks on the way down, moaning and crying in pain. Why is it so many men enjoy the thought of torturing and then killing babies that are not their own? Could it be an instinct left over from our very distant past? Something hard wired into the lesser males. It seems much like the desires displayed by new leader monkeys, lions, and other mammals that form groups. They want to kill all the existing babies so that the females will be ready for breeding again. We are no so distant from animals are we? Certainly some of us more than others. This is well displayed in the comments I read about monkeys, written by the lesser human males who so desperately want to torture and kill babies. Or is it a mental sickness that could be controlled if the male desired to learn and grow. This is not at all attractive to females yet so many guys still proclaim their desires to kill and torture babies. Good advice guys... it's time to shut up.

+John Cook John I really dont think that for the majority of those kind of men that it is about wanting to kill a baby like they claim. I really think it is about the attention it gets them or their ability to get a rise out of others...I am sure there are a few that are extremely sick and do fantasize about really killing small, helpless, vulnerable creatures as they claim but most of them are just sad men who have no other outlet and maybe this is the only way to get a response and attention..and maybe negative attention is better than no attention?

+Gina Powell I do agree with your summation here, Gina. May I remind you that the practice of harming small animals is concerning to psychologists as it represents to a high degree that the child may be psychologically damaged and could have difficulty plugging into normal society. Many of the known serial killers tortured small animals as a youth. They often wish to strengthen their ego by displaying their power over cats, small dogs, and birds. Not everyone turns into a serial killer, but many have difficulty relating to society, and can be considered dangerous. .

It's not just men. Alot ppl have an instinctive phobia of monkeys that expresses aggression. I never knew until I saw comments. I do think it is an old evolutionary adaptation specific to other primates. Because they always claim theyd never hurt any other animal or person and often admit to being bewildered by the feeling that goes against their values. Others just seem to revel in it for attention. I think its fascinating - and just because someone feels or fantasizes it does not mean they should hurt a monkey. Using logic to make ethical choices that transcend our violent urges is what makes us human. But I do suspect its something like Uncanny Valley.
