Can't argue. Trent never yelled or scream. BUT 89 to 84 was the best.. AMAZING Trent still sounds like day 1 ..he does. It's the band. The music ages more or the band does..Trent sounds like hate machine Trent as he did 89..guy doesn't age..had attitude had ro change or nin was dead

glad you pulled through, man. it's weird. I think suffering is one of the things that draws people to NIN. I've listened to them since around 96, but they never actually "clicked" for me until I was going through some turbulent and emotional times in 2009. The music really spoke what I was feeling. I'm glad Trent found his way out of the darkness and came to grow out of those negative emotions, but I really do miss the music that came out of it.

I'm currently making a collage of my NIN merch and misc things all NIN/Trent and this is a welcomed background addition. I found NIN when one of my brothers came home with their album BROKEN and I was absolutely hooked from that moment on. I love nin but now that I listen to this I'm thinking wtf is he mad about and depressed about? he's screaming: where the fuck were you? and singing about how he's broken and shit.. but he's a multi million dollar rock star living the fucking life, traveling meeting new people, doing drugs, married with with two kids, networking with talented movie producers. if you ask me he doesn't relate to a self destructive youth with mental issues. he's always working on music networking with movie directors but he acts like a troubled teenager with anger issues when he's totally living a life of glory and fame. and I'm pretty sure all of us would much rather be Trent Reznor.
