People need to learn the difference between ‘honest’ and ‘harsh’. In no way was James ‘harsh’. If you skipped the rant at the beginning, you would have missed him saying that he wants to support Nikkie after everything she’s been through. However, just because she’s been through so much (I really feel for her), it doesn’t mean that James needs to lie about her products or give a non-truthful opinion to not hurt her feelings. If you bring out a product, you need to expect and take on board constructive criticism, and realise that the criticism is nothing personal and he is in no way criticising her character/her as a person. This is 100% fair and non-bias. If this review was nothing but positive, you’d accuse James of being sponsored by Nimya or like he’s just trying to get on the PR list. He’s managed to say ‘I love her BUT..’. If he said ‘I love her and everything Nimya has made, there’s no problems with any product.’ THAT would be bias.

I skipped the rant because I got bored and I still don't find him harsh. He said he judges it as skin care and his brother as make up prep and it's supposed to be more makeup prep with nice ingredients rather than skin care so his review seems honest and... Just legit in general. Basically saying "nice, cute ingredients, could be awesome as makeup prep, not amazing skin care, check my brother for makeup prep review" which... Great. I checked his bro and he loved the products and I'm sold. (I'm) Not a fan of nikkie, but interested in her brand. I really cannot see how people find these dudes harsh or offensive, but then again there are people who love making everyone walk on eggshells around them because it makes them feel noticed, so maybe that it.
@MartheCSJ

I don't think he was harsh either! He didn't say her products was bad at all, he said that the colors and packaging wasn't for him which isn't for everyone. He also have ingredients he isn't a big fan of which is a personal taste. He also knows skincare and said that skincare alone it isn't impressive but as a skincare make up hybrid its impressive and it is a make up skincare hybrid. For all of the influencers that release their own "skin care products". For me,if there skin care products doesn't do magic or perform any difference compare to other legit skin care company or products,then instead of creating skin care line, they should recommend products that work for them or their skin and recommend brands that are doing so well and give really good results instead. No need to deceive people into buying a skin care that doesn't benefit them at all.

The whole market is over saturated, makeup and skincare. People like me, use both. With everything out there, I’m only buying skincare things I haven’t tried that sound like good formulas for my dry skin (and I’m 54), and indie makeup brands. While I don’t wish her I’ll, this just isn’t for me. This is for her stans that will buy this because it’s hers. The one thing that’s nice is at least they will be getting a decent product. It’s not going to be life altering but it will probably do what it’s supposed to as far as makeup is concerned…maybe. We’ll see.

I do like eye creams with some slight pigment in them, like The Inkey List's Brighten-i Eye Cream, for example. I don't wear a lot of concealer, and it does help even your skin tone a bit, even though it's nowhere near even the lightest of light coverage. It just helps, a bit. I definitely wouldn't mind it in a face cream, either, but it's not a thing I really look for. The serum kind of reminds me of Rodial's and Makeup Geek's pink serums (both with a more milky pink colour), but blue. If it's anything like those, then I bet it's very flattering, on the skin. The cream I use for under makeup, especially if I'm using powders, but still want to look dewy, is the Touch in Sol Pretty Filter (breathe) Glassy Skin Balm. It's quite moisturising, but also leaves this absolutely beautiful glow on skin that lasts. So pretty, and nothing from the brand is outrageously expensive. I use it all over my undereyes and cheeks, and a bit over my brows, for that kind of "natural" highlight. The above serums do something similar, but tend to be somewhat to very much more expensive. 😬

I thought the Orange was something to do with being Dutch, like its the national colour and put with the blue its starting to remind me of the Netherlands flag in an abstract kind of way. We cant get it in Australia (like a lot of things, we only got Charlotte Tilbury in the last month, what a rip off that stuff is and I've even noticed some influencers are scared to speak out about the Tilbury brand because the get attacked by people which I think is rediculous but I agree, I dont think anything I've bought from Charlotte Tilbury has been worth the money)

For her to sell SPF in the U.S. it would take her YEARS to get through the FDA approval process and get to market.
@Takapon218
2 жыл бұрын
@@enc1971 yep!!! That’s the reason many beauty influencers don’t talk about it bc a lot of the sunscreens on the market break down makeup when worn underneath it and makeup specific brands don’t want the hassle of formulating something and then fighting the FDA about it for years. It’s too much trouble.
