great vid. i have ER-5 but the carbs are almost the same i guess. This video is helpful for me as im gonna try to rebuild my carbs

They are the same carbs only differences are the jet sizes and the length of the needles otherwise identical.

I would suggest removing the piston and diaphragm before using carb cleaner. The carb cleaner can destroy the diaphragm.

When I was cleaning the carb, I had 2 very small metal cylinders with a lip in the middle of the cylinder fall out. One from each side on the bottom when I had the bowls off. They weren’t threaded at all and I can’t figure out where they go. Any ideas what they are and where they go?

I think I know what your talking about, if you watch my second vid of my carb rebuild I put a small cylinder piece into the big hole that the main jet sits in, it is called a needle jet in my service book. it is a pressed in fitting, that's why it has no threads. its not in this vid because my carbs didn't have it and my new ones had not shown up at the time

I got mine from Facebook marketplace, but if you look hard enough somewhere on the internet is a pdf of the repair manual
