Hi from Sheffield UK 🇬🇧 I have just bought an air fryer ninja 10 in 1 and tried to make pulled pork in it today...it was ok but a bit dry. After watching you i realised that having it in a casserole dish with lid wasn't enough, i should have wrapped it. Thank you

Thank you so much.. I'm using your instructions for cooking and meat temperature, But with Mexican flavors. Pulled pork El Pastor in an Adobe sauce with fresh pineapple. 1st I grilled the pork in the Ninja. My spice rub with Latin flavors. It came out with a great crust. Now it's wrapped in the aluminum foil with a homemade Adobe sauce poured over it after covering it with the fresh pineapple. Can't wait to take it out the Ninja.

@@CookingWithCJ I'm definitely gonna wear one of my many RED and camo MAGA hats while cooking this tonight! It's raining right now here in Texas so I'm going to try this on a pork shoulder I bought on sale that's needs to be cooked soon. I usually smoke my pork shoulders low and slow but this looks kinda interesting. I seldom use my Ninja grill so here goes!

Hello, I am trying this recipe right now, I can't wait to taste it! I had a question pop up tho that I didn't see addressed in the video - I am a completely new cook, this is my first pulled pork and my first time not cooking in the oven. When you pull the roast out at 165temp to wrap it up you must have to dump the juices that accumulated in the pan, we don't want to put tin foil back into a puddle right? What do you do with the juices, do you save them to make the sauce at the end or do you discard it and save the juices from after it's wrapped and done with final cooking? And, my final question, I've always heard that you don't wrap foods with bbq sauce in tin foil because it breaks down quickly, is it really safe to use the juices from the final wrap? Thank you so much!
@CookingWithCJ
2 жыл бұрын
I try to keep the juices in the foil, it helps braise and tenderize the meat. I haven’t heard anything about it not being safe. Thanks

So I have fooled your recipes. Other than using different rubs and braze. My brisket came out really dry. And I just did a pork shoulder. Still kind of dry when I pull it off at 195 to 200f. It is usually fairly tender when I probe during the smoke until 165 170f. However once I go wrap it and braze it and cook 195-205f it becomes dry. My question is in a very humid climate. Okinawa Japan should I pull it off at a lower temp than 200f? Thanks in advance.

You can give it a try. I can only give base line recipes based off of where I live. Sometimes it'll take more experimenting for other places. Thanks

CJ! First timer here with you watching this pork butt business and I've mailed down the 9 hours @ 250 in my oven but just received the Ninja Foodi Smart Grill which is smaller than yours. Would the same settings apply? And I'm hesitant, albeit curious, to cook a butt @ 350 due to my success in the oven @ 250 but I really want to try this Ninja Smart Grill out and I can't think of anything better to set the loveability bar for the Ninja than a delicious butt. It'll be my first venture cooking in it and should I adjust my expectations from my traditional method of does it come out about the same you think?

In middle of trying this and I noticed no temp mentioned after it’s wrapped? Also you let it cook until 200 but pro grill only lets you go to 170?
@CookingWithCJ

Carey N I took it over 200 on purpose. I don’t think they thought of long type cooks when the set up the temp limits on the pro version. I don’t have the pro, so that why I use the wireless thermometer.

I am going to let the probe take it to max 170 then I’ll switch to timed cook and watch it until it goes over 200. Hope mine comes out s as good as yours looks! I am new at this. Thanks for the replies and great video!
