"EVERY EPISODE" or not, I don't remenber, it was over 40 years ago, I was only 5 or 6 year, my memories are not sure. But it is sure that this program was Shōnen Ninja Kaze no Fujimaru (少年忍者風のフジ丸 "Fujimaru of the Wind") In the program Ninjas were described like Super man. Anyway, we Japanese boys & girls all enjoyed the program in those days.

Hahaha thank you so much for your reply! I understand about the fuzzy memories, childhood is extremely far out! ;) But just to be clear- Hatsumi spoke to the audience in more than just the one episode, it was a regular or at least occasional feature of Fujimaru? That's great we now know the name of the program! Hopefully it can be released to the general public.... Thanks again! K

Was the cartoon called Shōnen Ninja Kaze no Fujimaru (少年忍者風のフジ丸 "Fujimaru of the Wind")? Everyone in the Bujinkan needs this cartoon! who doesn't want to learn with a cartoon?All the best to you, sir!

The amusing thing about this clip is that Kirigakure Saizo was a fictional character invented about 1911!
@Living-warrior
6 жыл бұрын
Not true, according to According to the historian Stephen Turnbull and other historians, he was a real ninja from history, associated with the Sanada Ryu family, which had close connections to Togakure Ryu which explains why Hatsumi Soke would know about him.
@MishimaYukio17
6 жыл бұрын
I don't know if he didn't say that in the past, but historian Stephen Turnbull says Kirigakure Saizo is a FICTIONAL character in his latest book so you should check that out. What you're talking about comes from Sanada Juyushi, twentieth century story books based on the Sanada Sandaiki, which is an older story but still fictitious.
@Living-warrior
6 жыл бұрын
The Sanada family were real, not fictitious. Yes, there are fictional stories written about the family, but they were actual ninjas also. It's like saying that because there are stories of knights fighting dragons means there were not actually knights because we know dragons are fictitious. And the more I've come to learn about Turnbull, the less I think he is a reliable source of history. We live and learn. But there are references to Kirigakure going back well beyond the 20th century. A lot of people want to show the Bujinkan is fake, but that's just not true and they have a lot to gain from saying it is fake. There is a book about to be published, The Hidden Lineage, that actually vindicates the lineage of Togakure Ryu through the Toda family.
@MishimaYukio17
6 жыл бұрын
Sean Askew named his book, already ; ) I'm not saying there weren't shinobi, just that to my knowledge Kirigakure was a fictional character If you can show me proof otherwise then please let me know where I can see it, and if it's legitimate I will spread that information. Turnbull. I suspect what you mean is that the more that Turnbull comes to contradict your position, the more you don't think he is reliable, which is a fallacy. Looks like you're a bujinkan sensei. I don't want you to stop being a bujinkan practitioner, but I will always pursue historical truth, no matter what.
@MishimaYukio17
6 жыл бұрын
Sorry, it just occurred to me that you're referencing the Sanada Sandaiki. That has a character which Kirigakure is based on but it's also all fictional. If you don't think it is you have been severely misled. I've also seen Mr. Askew sometimes referencing fictional works in his research too, obviously this is a serious problem within the NInja enthusiast community.

@godisgreat82ify First of all this is not magic, but that is besides the point. U can easily learn this art without the "magic aspects" of it. Infact most of its students don't or never learn the "magic" aspects. u have to extremely advanced to learn that, nor do they teach it anyone.

@godisgreat82ify the idea of magic in japan is completely different from the idea of magic in western countries, it's not really magic to them... it's more... like an over sensationalization of facts, like a metaphor kind of. get it?

@kazeet456 if you're going to be so material about it, look into quantum theory and how expectation preceeds outcome. soon, you will see there is a place for spirituality and magic, especially with repetition. "miracles" are real, it is a matter of true belief and understanding that there is more than this 3-dimensional, physical existance. .. and i hardly think that ww2 had anything to do with ninja, besides the occasional hire. [ all within the ninja's control, of course :) ]

"I believe in an almighty god who created everything and everything, souls, demons, angels, a fiery hell for people who do wrong, and a wonderland for the well behaved, all because some man named jesus did some magic like tricks, but I don't believe in magic like tricks" What logic is that. Jesus could just be some random skilled telekinetic, or a guy who was from another religion who wanted to create their own. Jesus only proves there is more out there, he doesn't prove christianity.

" soon, you will see there is a place for spirituality and magic" uh, no we won't as science has proven that spirituality and magic are both concepts created by our own primitive minds to explain things

In Japan, much ninjya is farmers. And they are low-class soldiers employed every war by samurai. It is ninjya to have gathered information in that. For ninjya, the most important duty is to escape from the enemy. For them, the battle with the enemy is duty failure. Such ninjya is incompetent. ninjutsu is farmer science and thief skill.
