The Recipe
Ingredients
1 onion, quartered
2 cloves garlic, peeled
1 medium carrot, washed and chopped (or alternatively, leek or celery)
150g - 200g* lentils (red or green), rinsed
200g cooked gammon/ham, cubed/shredded
vegetable stock/broth up to the max line
seasoning of your choice (optional)
Method
1. Add the onion and garlic to the Ninja Soup Maker jug and press the 'chop' function.
2. Remove the lid and add in the lentils and stock (up to the max line on the jug).
3. Replace the lid and press the 'chunky soup' button.
4. At the end of the soup cycle, optionally press the blend/pulse button briefly to produce a textured soup.
*if you prefer a thinner consistency, use 150g lentils instead of 200g
