@@shannonpatrick77 we will never know for sure when exactly he was using, but if you look at those shows, and there’s lots of video of them, between summer and fall of 91, it’s hard to believe Kurt would’ve been using during those tour runs. I wouldn’t say he wasn’t good he just wasn’t a guitar virtuoso. He’s a very creative songwriter and has a great sense of rhythm. His solos were really melodic and minimalist, his whole style of playing was that way but I wouldn’t by any means say he wasn’t good. To me someone who isn’t good is someone who’s been playing guitar for a month and can’t keep a Rhythm or always hits a bum note.

That's nowhere near enough. Kurt wasn't a good guitar player but he was an amazing songwriter. And he lies a lot about his playing, maybe because of that punk attitude about it. Yes I believe that his music is relevant to young people but sadly people grow up and move on into even deeper lyrical content. And yes there is tons of extremely deep lit prose, lyrics and poetry that will mean nothing in your twenties but as you grow , if you grow in both body and soul you will realise how much you do not know. The arrogance of youth is loud and proud in your voice, not everyone looses that but most people grow and as a parent /grandparent you will see this whole thing in a very different light

It’s not like Nirvana was wrong about everything. The materialistic consumerism that had replaced the culture of previous generations. The proliferation of divorce and broken families, mostly fueled by selfishness, boredom and fear of getting old. But it seems they’d love the politics of 2023, and the Un-winnable war against racism, sexism and homophobia. Dave Grohl whored himself out to the likes of Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden, which was pitiful. Opposing Trump is fine, but getting on stage in support of Clinton and Biden? Cobain would NEVER do that.

Nirvana were never the "biggest band in the world" most hyped, probably? Go and look at all the biggest grossing tours from 91-93 Nirvana are not in the top ten let alone the number one. In terms of album sales they have gone on to outstrip their grunge contemporaries, Pearl Jam, however at the time PJ sold more records, from Rolling Stone Among rock & roll’s hottest record sellers in 1992 were Pearl Jam‘s Ten (3.6 million), Nirvana‘s Nevermind (2.8 million) and the Red Hot Chili Peppers‘ Blood Sugar Sex Magik (2.5 million), according to SoundScan. Even at the height of grunge, Guns N Roses and Metallica still sold more albums and were bigger concert draws than any grunge band.

@@loganm15 Well, yeah..that's how we determine who is the biggest band in the world? it's who sells the most records and concert tickets. The Sex Pistols had a massive impact but they were never the biggest band in the world. You can be the biggest and have the most impact i.e The Beatles however they are two different things.

@@AminorMorning it's not about the money or the numbers, it's all in the music man.. the amount of sales doesnt mean anything to the art itself. The influence and or impact of the art on the people is only one aspect of what makes the art GREAT. Nirvana probably were the biggest but not the only help in hijacking the mainstream and taking out the trash regardless of how many 'sales' they got its all in the music 🎶. Oh by the way 'grunge' doesnt exist ✌️ its called Music my friend and thats all there is. I don't think comparing one band to another by sales or just in general is a good way to approach music as all bands and artists are of their own type of art. The chili peppers can only do it like the chili peppers, nirvana can only do it like nirvana and so on andso forth im out

JUSTICE FOR KURT: 10.) The Seattle medical examiner, Dr Nikola Hartshorne (Dr NH) is a friend of CL from before he was a doctor. He had promoted rock bands in the '80's. So no surprise when he rules for CL's version of events, as a suicide. 11.) Dr NH is also the ME for the death of CL's bassist, Kristen Pfaff (KP) who was killed two months after the murder of KC, and after being given heroin by another Hole band member, Erick Erlandson (EE). EE is in love with CL at the time. CL was very jealous over KC and KP's new relationship. 12.) EE is at KC's house the day he died after CL asked him to go to the house to look for her husband. 13.) Two months after KC was murdered, and just weeks after KP was killed, Dr NH, who by all accounts was rising up the ladder at work, leaves to live in Florida. His Seattle coworkers are all surprised. 14.) Just three months after KC was murdered, DT, of the SPD, is murdered by two guys who set him up to be killed by pretending to have a flat tire. 15.) Lead on the KC case, Detective Cameron, and the boss of DT, is fired three years after the murder of KC for bribery and corruption. He had been with SPD for 39 years. 16.) No fingerprints on the shotgun shells. So, I think CL had EE give KC a mickey in his root beer (the Valium found in KC's blood) and then gave him a massive dose of heroin when KC was already passed out. EE then leaves and Allen Wrench comes in alone, instructed by CL, to get the shotgun she knew KC had purchased with his buddy Dylan Carlson, and to use it on KC. Dylan admits he told CL about the shotgun prior. Then CL has EE give her rival, KP, an OD of heroin. EE is the only person to be seen entering her residence that night. He left 30 minutes later. So then CL hires some thugs to pretend a flat tire on the route of off duty DT and have him killed. Dead men tell no tales. In 2002 Dr NH dies in a mysterious base jumping accident. Allen Wrench is still alive.

Nirvana acted like they didn't love being rockstars but they did . This always happens in a big culture change . The status quo because the enemy . Nirvana went to war on the hair metal bands and "male drivin" society . Now culture is reversing back . The whole gay , drag , trans and let everybody do their own thing , accept ppl for who they are ......people are tired of being told what to think . It's all the same reason . People want to do what they want and not be told to do so .

I think in the very beginning of their career in interviews Kurt was gracious and thoughtful of the way he came across and tried a little more to work with the interviewers but I think very quickly he just couldn't do it anymore because he wasn't comfortable with the questions from the beginning and it just got old really quick. Of course there's exhaustion as well and the boredom with answering the same questions, but it's just interesting to see how he changes in interviews. It seems he was always wondering "why in the hell do you care what I think???" The old cliche of people feeling like a fraud.
