I've been using the NiSi Natural Night filters for years and for Astro they are useful in certain circumstances. I also find them effective in removing that unappealing yellow cast from terrestrial night photography (especially with architecture and green landscapes) as well. But I regret that NiSi haven't produced one in the smaller 43mm thread size - which would suit at least three of the Canon EF-M lenses. I'm normally very careful when handling expensive filters but I recently had to adapt the larger 77mm NiSi NN Filter to a lens and it fell onto hard rock from shoulder height. Despite it being made from glass, it neither broke nor was it scratched. Perhaps it was luck but I was impressed that it didn't crack, chip or shatter.

Super sad that I missed this stream. I am still an amateur photographer overall as I started in a VERY niche macro topic (vape coils) about 6yrs ago. I am very interested in astrophotography but I live just outside of Atlanta, Ga so the light pollution here is HORRIBLE for hours in every direction.

I have the Nikon 14-24 f 2.8, but it's difficult to get filters to fit without vignetting because the front element protrudes some.

I know this is Nisi sponsored but I just want to try help. Haida have rear filters for the new Nikkor Z 14-24 and their m10 and m15 kits both fit that.. but as you said it has a very large protruding element I'm guessing it's the 14-24 G lens for their dslr? The Haida m15 holder should work fine for that along as you get the right lens fitting (they are interchangeable).
