Thank you so much for this video. It's the most realistic show of Qashqai's LED adaptive light on yt.

FYI… I just looked at the last few seconds of the video and now think the single blue warning light may be the ProPilot warning light, so maybe the 3 green lighting warning lights I mentioned in my previous comment were obscured by the steering wheel in your video, great video though which shows the lighting adapting to the oncoming traffic well… I’m still not sure mines set correctly though as it isn’t as clear cut and obvious as in your video.

Hi Al, it's three green lights, yes, the highbeam one should have a little "A" for Auto I think. When the adaptive high beam is actually on (as in the Matrix is doing it's thing), there should be a blue highbeam icon as well.

Okay thanks for your speedy reply, it’s much appreciated. I’ll check the matrix lighting system out more closely again next time I’m out night driving. Keep up the good work !! 👍

I must admit to still being a bit confused by the Qashqai J12 adaptive lighting… could you describe to me what warning lights show on the digital dashboard display when the lighting is in adaptive mode like you’re showing in this video. Your video shows the effect of the adaptive lighting brilliantly but I’m still not clear if I have the correct setting on my Qashqai J12 Tekna +… from what I recall the digital dashboard display shows a constant 3 green warning lights, the first one is A I believe the second light shows a main beam symbol and the third light shows a dipped beam symbol. The second light (main beam) symbol occasionally changes from green to blue… is this when the adaptive main beam mode is engaged..?? In the last few seconds of this video I could see a single blue light on the digital display and no adjacent green lights. Have I set my adaptive lighting correctly… I used the button at the end of the lighting stalk which I thought engaged the adaptive lighting but I’m still unsure….

Hi, I do not own the Qashqai, however, I am looking for a new car and the Qashqai is one of the options. And with every car I am researching I also read the manual. Just for fun. So when I check the manual of the Qashqai I see the following: - In order to use Adaptive LED headlights the lighting stalk should be set to 'Auto'. - With the lighting stalk set to 'Auto' you have to press the button on the side of the stalk to activate Adaptive LED headlights. - The high beam symbol with the letter A inside will turn on. - Whenever the system activates the high beam (so no on traffic in front of your car detected), a BLUE high beam symbol will light up. This will turn off when e.g. oncoming traffic is detected. So make sure you have set the stalk to 'Auto' Judging from the manual the High Beam (blue light) does not change from green to blue. It only turns on or off. Hope this helps

They work really well altough low beam seems to have a pretty short range.

Exactly the opposite actually. It throws farther than on any car I've seen - and I've seen a lot.

I know. It throws amazingly far. It's by far the best I've seen on any car. It also is dynamic, so the faster you go, the farther it will shine. Spread also is amazing.

@@nissanelectrified9583I wasn’t sure that Qashqai has matrix led (even if it’s promoted like this). Thought that VW and Audi only have good Matrix LED. So do you feel that Nissan has really good Matrix LED especially in the totally dark conditions (like in the village where it’s no any light on the roads)? Thank you for the video

Well, as you can see in the video, the QQ (Tekna and up) does have Matrix headlights. I'd say they are not the best, but totally in line with what you can expect in this class of vehicle and for that price. The Matrix headlights in the Nissan Ariya are a totally different animal of course, but you pay a lot more for such a car.

Will this work if the high beam is turned off?
@nissanelectrified9583

No, since it literally is adaptive high beam :) So no more high beam on/high beam off, but only "off where there is another car", the rest stays on.
