Cool concept. I’d put a mini carabiner and hag that at camp. Nitecore has been comping out with real winners. I LOVE my NU25 headlamp. You need one of those.

Cool - I've got the smaller version of it.

I love this concept. A little paracord and a metal washer and it would hang in a tent great.

Hey Tim, that’s a pretty cool little flashlight/lantern. I was really surprised how much light it threw out on the porch, lighting up the two chairs. I would have guessed that was more than 10 lumens. Thanks for the great review 👍👍

Hello Tim, thank you for sharing this fine review. The Nitecore light looks like a must have for every outdoors person's pack. I would not make any changes. Take care out there. 🤗

Thats a pretty neat light and I like the budget price on this, along with the standard battery. This concept is very similar to the UCO Klarus (lantern & flashlight). I believe the UCO is a little better for the outdoors/camping because it comes with a D-ring that allows it to be hung. This Nitecore is a cool idea for a home emergency kit though for sure or just for general power loss preparedness. You could keep this attached to a fridge in case the power goes out and u have a lantern/flashlight option. Its also cheap enough that u could get a couple and place them throughout the house.

Button operation would be nice, but an on/off switch would be hard to fit in the design, still great design

I would really love to have one as it would fit my particular needs perfectly. However, I've never bought a Nitecore flashlight that didn't completely break in less than 3 months of owning it (other than one Tip and the clip snapped in two in less than a month). I have many other brands of flashlights and have had no problems. Only the Nitecores. It's a shame but I really can't afford to take the chance on a company that I've had so many catastrophic failures. I really do love this light style (my area has been having so many total blackouts that the electric co sent me an apology postcard). It would totally help me deal during these torturous blackouts. Anyway, thanks for another informative vid. Be Blessed.

@WarGrrl3, I’m in the same boat as you in regards to how often my block losses power. I bought the original version of Streamlights Siege lantern when they first came out. I know it’s bigger, but it worked so well that I bought a second one! Haven’t had any problems with them yet.

@@mdredheadguy1979 thanks, I'll check them out. I'm really getting sick of the power outages n wondering why its only my block or the few blocks around my place. Stay 'lit', Be Blessed my friend.

I don't have one, ..but I can tell you what I'd add to it if I could. - A little foldable or flip-out hook on the end to help hang it in your tent. I'd also make the shell or the battery usb c charging compatible. Maybe add a red low light mode to it.

This product is apparently discontinued by nitecore. So sad. I had one of this la10 but lost it during work. So i bought it again, this time the high cri version. Abit lower in output but a very nice tint color!

You think having the magnet down when you put it on the scale artificially inflated the weight numbers? The magnet would have been pulling the plate down toward other metal parts within the scale, increasing the reading. Interested to see if it “weighs” the same when put on the scale “light side” down

Question, does it have a memory feature? I mean, does it stay at the last brightness setting that was used? Or does it re-set every time it’s turned off?
