Looks like a reds clutch. If it’s the same the then as follows: (Right) Hard/Heavy (centre) Medium (Left)Soft/Light

I’ve always been under the assumption that the front bearing should have a rubber shield outside, open inside. Also that front bearings should be steel. Main/rear bearings open on both sides and can be steel or ceramic for increased performance. 🤔

Yeah, they probably replaced the front bearing with the wrong type, it should be open inside and rubber shielded outside

Thanks for the vid Tasty 💯 - Any possibility there are some micro burs on the sleeve ports from the manufacture? Maybe difficult to see or feel but after the engines runs for a while, they could transfer onto the piston. Just thinking of another possible reasons for the small stretches Thanks for taking the time to show us the engine 🩷

Hello Adam, No burs or machining remains, the piston was looking perfect when I checked after the frist 2litres, so something went wrong after those 2L and thanks to a subscriber I think I know now what happened, there will ba an update video!

It's very unlikely that the scratches came from something that was sucked in through the front bearing. There would be more marks if that was the case. (On top of the piston and in the crankcase). As you always check your engines very good this is very strange, but i suspect it's something on the sleeve. Maybe tiny blurs.??? Or since most scratches are at the exhaust side something came in there. ( Carbon parts maybe) ??? The donuts clutch is exactly like the Reds. If you assemble it you turn the inner part counter clockwise. The more you turn it counter clockwise the tighter the springs get. Your engine is still fine but check it again. And check the manifold. There must be something there what caused these scratches.

Hello Kings, Yees I always check the engines (and make a video) and as I told you those scratches appeared after 2 litres, still Stankos hypothesis is the most plausible to me, if the engine had sucked someting from the exhaust port, there would be scrathces on the top of the piston imo, look carefuly at 1:45 that doesnt seem to be caused by dirt or burs, but I guess we will never know. I ran the engine since, with the donuts clutch and there are no new scratches, sadly the clutch springs and setting are not hard enough.. the clutch is engaging way too early.

Stanko could be right. Although i doubt one clutchshoe has enough force to drive the piston up and down. Guess we will never know for sure what caused it. Don't know what springs you run, but a 1.0 should be enough. I'm gonna find out since i ordered the donuts clutch aswell. Shoes from a jvd clutch which i run are nowhere to found anymore. I hope the donuts clutch shoes fit my jvd clutch too.

we are on the same page in regards to the front bearing I were to bet on what came through that engine I would say some micro machining remains ...Im not convinced dirt small enough to be sucked through the front bearing would have caused the marks, on a positive note...they are tiny and at the bottom so full send! look into a Gt clutch broski , I like the reds with 1/2 carbon 1/2 yellow shoes ..The Buku Gt was great but they don't sell them anymore .Later bro

Hey Kawi, those scratches appeared after 2L, I checked the internals after the frist 2 litres as I always do and the piston was fine. So its not caused by burs or machining remains. A subscriber has a hypothesis on what happened so I think now that those scratches were not caused by dirt from the from bearing, there will be a update video!

@@TastyBRC ahhhh.... yep the bearing can very well be the culprit, or from behind the bearing. I have disassembled a lot of engines before I ran them and more often than not I find pieces of metal behind the bearing from the process of installing the bearing. Sooner or later those little pieces find their way through the front of the bearing . I think we have found the smoking gun

Maaaaaaan…. I thought you had changed out that bearing when you first tore it down for initial inspection/thoughts video… ☹️ That’s TERRIBLE. I would DEFINITELY reach out to Maxy on fakebook about that. I know the Picco Monza 9 runs a metal shielded front bearing as well, but NO WAY should you be able to see through it. Definitely pop a rubber shielded bearing in that bad boy.. I can’t believe that. I’m so sorry to see that on an engine I recommended.. 😥 That being said-I still wish I had been able to grab the off-road engine before the price went up $150 after you got yours.. I’m ordering my Picco P3TX in a few days from them.. It’s still on sale at least, and I know it runs like an ANIMAL..

Hey Mickey, I got a bunch of comments, theories and I think that what caused the damage is not the bearing, look at the scratches, only on the exhaust side and lower half of the piston so it is not caused by dirt. Still, I replaced the bearing. There will be a update video
