This video is awesome because it makes you think critically about a problem (Fuel pressure loss) Every time I think I know a thing or two about cars I see a problem like this and realize just how much I still have to learn.

We switched to the ZEX perimeter plate and love it .. it is miles ahead of the elderly spray bar.. check it out we used it on the 582 inch 3150LBS chevelle with TH400

Pump from the truck itself. I can adjust overall pressure which will most likely be adjusted once its tuned.

With our cars we run direct port systems with a return line after the fuel solenoid at 6psi fuel pressure and 1050 psi nitrous bottle pressure getting 12:2:1 AFR'S which is about prefect on a nitrous car.

Agreed, G force in the line is something I cant recreate in the shop, I resist moving my tank and pump to the front because that's about 35 pounds I take off the rear and move to the front, its kinda a last resort deal

Always set fuel pressure while flowing. So your static won't matter as long as your flowing pressure is right.

This is a pro people AND car. Don't throw this on your moms Honda civic she gave you for graduation :) I worry about my oil pressure and temp gauge in my old ass vette lol. Also, Gouto, Did you have a issue with the frame on the 500 into the 250 with welding it up and support? And what was the wait diff of the orig and yours? Love your bike and vids! Peace.

The NX fuel pressure regulators will creep up in pressure until you open the nitrous solenoid so its impossible to set it and get an accurate gauge reading before the solenoid if its not actuated.. It even says in the instructions the gauge will continuously build pressure until the solenoid is open.. I need to get an initial setting on a new plate system on a tunnel ram and was hoping to do it without pulling both plates and putting them in a bucket..

It's important to fill the filter, that way the engine doesn't have to wait for oil pressure while the pump fills the filter

I'm going to regulate the return line, not really the norm to do it that way for most guys but zero pressure drop can be had I think, I hate having to put up with extra pressure for the initial nitrous hit, I will fix, stay tuned

Would and efi setup be similar? Pressure drop would most definitely be a problem. I've got a wet kit I plan on running on a 4.3 vortec.

It would work except the extended idle time would over run the pressure spring resulting in higher pressure again, I will regulate the return line for smooth pressure and no hassle, stay tuned

I'm trying to run efi pressure with the fitech with a wet plate so my Pressure is 58 psi can I adjust the fuel jetting or do I have to run a separate low pressure fuel line

i was gonna ask what kind of regulator you where running because i tought a return style would probably do better, but you are now going to run that right? We do use that type on boosted cars, and when the boost kicks in pressure go's up right away like it should. And yours seems to be fixed at 1 opening size wich will reduce the pressure if you let it flow free after the regulator.

Hi groutaone, Just a quick question... When you changing oil on the firebird, do you fill the new oilfilter with oil before mounting it? or do you leave it dry and let the engine fill it up??? But i just started wondering, what is the right thing to do? Its a 540 bigblock chevy for race use... oil preassure is about 75-80 psi. thanks :-)
