NO BAKE PASTILLAS CAKE WITH PASTILLAS FROSTING | PASTILLAS CAKE RECIPE | Inspire PJE

INGREDIENTS
Sponge Cake
▪️1 1/3 Cup All Purpose Flour
▪️1/2 Tbsp Baking Powder
▪️1/2 Tsp Baking Soda
▪️1/4 Tsp Salt
▪️1/3 Cup Sugar
▪️5 Tbsp Powdered Milk
▪️4 Egg Yolks
▪️4 Egg Whites
▪️1/3 Cup Vegetable Oil
▪️3/4 Cup Evaporated Milk
▪️1 Tsp White Vinegar
▪️1/3 Cup Sugar
Pastilla Frosting
▪️390g Condensed Milk
▪️3 Cups Powdered Milk
▪️410ml Evaporated Milk
Toppings (Optional)
▪️Powdered Milk
▪️Chocolate Chips
PROCEDURE
Sponge Cake
1. In a bowl, combine egg yolks, oil and evaporated milk. Mix well.
2. Add sugar, powder milk, flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Mix well then set aside.
3. In a separate bowl, beat egg whites. When bubbles formed, add the vinegar. Continue beating until soft peaks formed.
4. When soft peaks formed, gradually add sugar. Continue beating until stiff peaks formed.
5. Gently fold the whipped egg whites or the meringue to the egg yolk mixture.
6. Pour enough amount of cake batter to your greased llanera. Cover each llanera with foil before steaming.
7. Steam the cakes for 50 to 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle of the cake comes out clean.
8. Let it cooldown.
Pastillas Frosting
1. In a bowl, combine powdered milk and condensed milk. Mix well.
2. Gradually add evaporated milk to the mixture. Mix well until all ingredients are well combines.
