Love these bars! I actually dissolve instant coffee and use that as my lye water. It does stink but the smell doesn't last in the bars. Then I add used dry coffee grounds to the oils or at trace. Next time I might do it as you did so the coffee doesn't get scorched. Thanks for the video and have a great day.

These are gorgeous. I love your molds. I am in Australia and wondering if I can get them here. I have made coffee soap but have made the coffee with a plunger, poured into ice cube trays, reserved some grounds to add later and then frozen the coffee and mixed lye with frozen coffee with full water replacement. It does smell awful when doing it and I’m now curious to try your method. They look so pretty!

Hi Kathy, I used charcoal & roasted oak by Craft HQ. It works really well with the coffee scent and is a little different but I also love to blend bourbon vanilla and cappuccino

There were some saying that using wet coffee will get soap go rancid is that so
@SoapSchoolUK
2 жыл бұрын
It shouldn't. Rancidity is from oxidation of oils so the wet grounds would not affect that. If used dry however, they can absorb the lye which can then released after the saponification which can lead to small caustic pockets
