4:16 Backwards is the best impact entry, sideways is typically the worst with the passenger side being preferable over the driver's side. Head on is where most of your safety gear is designed to assist you but getting into the condition where it does it's work hurts because of pressure concentration; tail-in and you spread the force over the seat (just remember to lean your head back if you can, touch the helmet to the headrest). Side entry means you have limited crush space and your limbs are probably going to intersect with various parts of the car, and each other (i.e. you can hit one arm with the other, knock your knees or ankles together, and so on). Unless you're highly constrained you're probably going to injure a limb in a fast side-entry impact.
