Hi, great idea! I hadn't even thought about building or even buying something like this. I was just always annoyed about spillages😅😊

Nice and helpful video 🤗. If your car stayed a while, recommend you to change also the brake fluid ..as it is very sensible to moisture.

Hi, great advice! I have a video coming soon where test the brake fluid with one of the new electronic testers.

Let me know if you are going to make a nifty, no mess oil filler cap with integrated funnel! (or whether you would rather just buy the ready made product)

i have a Suzuki car, I cut the bottom from a Prestone brake fluid container making the top part a funnel that screws directly to the filler hole in the valve cover

Or just take off the original cap and put the funnel in yhe whole

Hi, there is no significant space under the oil cap to put the funnel into in these cars - so you would need an assistant to hold it for you, and even then you would have a problem with oil spill once there was a litre of oil in the funnel as it could drain through a big funnel quicker than it could drain into the engine.

What do you mean by "fill up the top of the engine and it'll leak out"? Never seen that happen on any car Ive owned 😅
@StevenBTuner

Hi, I should have shown it in the vid! If you put a normal funnel in the oil filler hole and pour in enough oil so that the funnel is half fulll of oil, then often the oil would rather leak out of the oil filler hole rather than flow into the engine.

@@StevenBTuner Damn, that's an.. Interesting design 😅 I've always poured as quickly as possible with a high flow funnel and had no issues.

This guide won't work unless you carefully make these sounds 1:05 1:11. The oil simply refused to pour in without them. Don't ask me how I know.
