John, it’s great you highlighted what seems to be a very underutilized garage gym remedy! I recently added this to my garage gym (I’m in the Dallas area) and, like you said, complete game-changer. I set it up exactly like you did and I also take it down for the same reasons you do after each training session. The Velcro stays in place well with the large head screws I bought. Aside from keeping all of the bugs and wasps out, I agree it does seem to keep it a bit cooler and it also tones down the afternoon glare from the sun on my car and driveway. I would say it also makes it “feel” more like a finished space with a “fourth” wall. I hope other garage gym lifters see your video and take your advice!

Hey Josh, thank you for the comment and the encouragement! I’m thinking about doing a video about underrated but important home gym additions because so many people get into home gym ownership still treating their home gym as if it’s a gym membership. You have to approach your home gym as if you’re the owner of a commercial gym thinking about climate control, protecting your investment plus a bunch of other things that get overlooked. Glad you’re finding good use out of the screen and thank you again for stopping by. Now I want you to think about this: kzitem.info/news/bejne/so562WmqpnN-qo4

@@GarageGymLifeMedia John, this was excellent. Thank you for making it and pointing me to it. I had forgotten about umbrella policies (and how inexpensive they are) and I did not know about the details on making sure my equipment is covered through a loss. Knowing about both now makes me feel more comfortable. Time to call my agent and, I’ve had logging my equipment on my mind, so it’s time for that, too. Thank you again.

Josh I'm glad that you're finding what I post helpful! It's a challenge to balance posting videos that our subscribers and members want to see and content that I think would be good for them to see but that's under their radar at the moment. This video is one of the less popular ones in our library but I think it's one of the MOST important! Please share the link with other home gym owners to get the word out there!

It’s the simplest solution. I have also used the Pure Garden One garage door screen and it worked well until my dogs tore it (which is why I don’t leave it up anymore).

How do you put it up?

You have to screw Velcro strips above and on each side of the doorway. After that it takes about 1 minute to put up every time you want to use it. I have a video of the process of putting it up to use for a workout in my KZitem shorts.
