Chris I followed your idea of dog earing my Wagtail and it completely transforms the way I clean windows, it eliminates 99% of detailing 👍🏻

Hi Chris, my friend Eric Gilliand sent me a message about your vid. I don't watch window cleaning vid these days as I am more into making music. You brought this idea to the attention of KZitem viewers because you were here long before I was. However, I was already making these mods 2 years into windows cleaning which is 11 years ago. I've been cleaning windows for 13 years and I knew nothing when I started. I perfected the percision tool because I perfected zero detail window cleaning techniques (using 2 hand method). I always use 2 hands rather than one when working which is why I would never use a Wagtail and washer combined or any combination tool in the hand. My idea of window cleaning is not to work longer, harder, slower getting less results. Any other tool apart from the Excel/Liq makes your work longer, harder , slower and will always give you less results. I worked on making my technique perfect which perfected the squeegee eg Excel/Liquidator. I asked your permission to go ahead because you were the guy who made it visible to the public and hence everyone who knew you knew you came out with this first. These ideas have been around since the 1960's. I was the guy who perfected the squeegee because I perfected the art technique of window cleaning. By focusing on my technique, making new techniques never seen before in window cleaning on a pole and in the hand, making them as efficient and effective as possible made the Excel/Liq. Hacking a squeegee channel will only take you one step further. I wanted to be 100 steps further than others and that is why so many people struggle with the Liq/Excel including yourself. It's hard to untrain yourself from using regular squeegee/hacks to using precision type tools. People build up a lot of bad habits over the years of working. They cannot adapt to the preciseness of the tool. What can a surgeon do with butcher tools? Not a lot. What can a butcher do with surgeon tools? I stopped using butcher tools in window cleaning because I started to work surgical instead. There is the answer to the Excel/Liq. What you have is a far inferior tool but it caters for your way of working

Cheers Bob, of course you are dead right I do like the Moerman tools and am not saying not to buy them. I think it is a better option than modifying tools.

@@MyWagga They're only better if you have the right knowledge and ability which is why 95 % of window cleaners fail using Liqs/Excels. The best computer is only the best if you can use it. My whole career in window cleaning was to focus on being the best at what I can do. That gave me the knowledge from learning new ways of working. Something that can only be taught if ,A you can do it, B then understand what happened. As I was studying on this higher level of working it could only be taught to by myself (trial and error) as no one else was working like this. Then I incorporated that into the squeegee channel/end clips and then the most adaptable handle. Hacks are great and can take you further but a real understanding of soap solution methods, squeegee placements at the right time & place, angles and precision make Moerman squeegees the best in the world. If you lack one or more of these they become very problematic and then Moerman tools are utterly useless for you. I'm not special, as anyone can learn how to work like me but if you don't follow the rules I follow it is impossible to get there. Trad-Man is the best example of that. No one can touch him in the squeegee skills dept on KZitem. For someone to get better at anything they need to change something for that to happen. If they wont change then they get the same results, always! Window cleaners are great at staying as they are. Change only comes from a good base to work on and that is my recommended soap method. Water and soap in a bucket, mix solution in a bottle wont take you far unfortunately. Without that method you're wasting your time using Moerman squeegees. It will be best to stick to whatever squeegee they;re using currently using if you wont adapt, evolve & improve. I focused on skills and improvement of techniques in my videos whereas you teach short cuts and mods for the most part. End results are clearly different but you can benefit from both

@@polznbladz3242 I think trad man uses mainly liquidators with green unger rubber and he uses plain water in the bucket and apply soap directly to the mop, not a mixed solution as you declared to be the only way to go with moerman squeegees.

@@aranha9365 He works like I suggest everyone to work and he goes beyond that by trying to work very close to the way I work. I don't suggest people work like me as it requires a lot of skill and attention.. The only way you can get to work like I work is by doing what you stated. Not sure what your point is. I also strongly suggest never to work like other window cleaners. I add soap directly to a washer that is saturated. Modified Wagtails are about as good as the people using them. They are hopelessly underskilled

Good technique buddy. Personally thing all those old wangtails , flippers etc are total overpriced gimmicks. The old fashioned bog standard blade and squeegee still the best for insides. In my humble opinion....

Yes it is a wooden skewer. They break sometimes but don't rust and are plentiful and keep the weight down.
