we were just talking about something like this on a recent road trip - ordered via your affiliate link :) The yellow thread tape is designed for gas connections. I'm thrilled they included the correct tape (and that you used it :) )

Awesome! Thanks so much. Barry had a good laugh when the tape roll fell and unrolled. No worry, it was easy to roll back up.

Put the tape on backwards. Always clockwise looking from the end.

Hi Mark. Thanks for noticing the direction I was applying the tape. Can you share the negative of winding the tape counter-clockwise?

@@EastCoastStreamers when you assemble 2 fittings, youll go against the tape almost unwinding it. Plummers will always apply tape clockwise with the flow of the threads.

Good to know. Barry was too busy laughing that I dropped the roll to correct my rolling technique! 🙂

That gauge works on vapor pressure. It does not indicate how full the tank is … until it’s empty. Pressure is driven by the temperature of the liquid not the amount of liquid. Just a single drop of liquid will give a full tank reading relative to the temperature.

Hi Danny - thanks for your feedback. For our purposes, since we have two tanks, getting any idea of whether the tank is full, almost empty, or empty is good enough. I would assume that if knowing the precise level of propane in the tank is necessary, a more sophisticated and expensive solution should be used. Thanks so much for watching. 🙂

Sometimes simple is better. Too many times we wondered how much propane we had in either tank. Right before I changed the hoses we thought the "second" tank was full and it was completely empty - super fail. Now we don't have to worry about our propane levels OR a battery in a fancy tank sensor. Thank you so much for watching.

First, as I type this comment I see a 1K under your channel name!!! Congratulations and it is well earned - we always enjoy your content. Secondly, I'm totally buying these (from your store). I've been considering that "weighing thingy" but this seems so much better. Plus, the Sub doesn't have a cowling so those braided hoses should look pretty sweet versus the black rubber.

Thanks you so much. Reaching 1k was a process and we are not as diligent at releasing videos so it took us a bit. We're really grateful to have a way to share what works for us and hope it provides inspiration for others. Thank you for supporting and sharing our channel. We appreciate you. ALSO - The braided hoses are going to look sweet on the Luv Sub!
