This video is about the huge improvement of my ZCI's over the factory issued ZCI's for the Hammer K-3 Winner sliding table saw (and several others machines). I ship these all over the world with fantastic reviews! In this video, I show how to safely cut (elongate) the kerf to accommodate the riving knife and an easy way to create the scoring blade kerf. Plus, bonus footage of simple modifications that you can do to your sliding table saw!
A quality made ZCI...with Formica on each side, bonded with epoxy. This makes for a super strong and rigid inert! Find them here: ramonvaldezfinefurniture.com/...
Couple of things to note: These ZCI's work best with a 10" (250 mm) blade (and scoring blade if equipped). It can be used with a 12" (300 mm) blade (no scoring blade) but with the addition of a riving knife, the slot or kerf is very long and will slightly weaken the ZCI. Also, when cutting the kerf to start, make sure your scoring blade (if equipped) is low enough, or remove it entirely. If you attempt to turn on your saw with the scoring blade contacting the new ZCI, it could break your belt!
Check your length before ordering!! The opening must be 23 13/16" (579.4mm) for my ZCI's to fit.
