I worked as a manager at a restaurant while I was in school. I quit that too! And boom..... I see that this office in my town is hiring immediately! I started out as reception, and since last August I have now had 3 raises. And been promoted to Client Services Director at my townships Trustee’s office. In the next few weeks I will be promoted to Chief Deputy here as well. Making salary, 30 hours a week, paid lunches, and making more than I ever would have as a surgical technologist. I LOVE the idea of normalizing changing our minds, its something that I struggle to come to terms with. I have so many interests and I get confused sometimes in what direction to take them, and half the time I feel crazy for going in a new direction with a new interest. Life is way to short to stick with one thing just because you think you have to or that you shouldn't change your mind. Great video! It could be cool to actually see a video about narrowing down your interests to figure out which one is worth pursuing as a career or way to make money

"lets normalize changing our minds" ... its so tough now, especially when working, at least for me - I want to dibble dabble in so many different things that I will work at a job for a year or 2 and then say okay now I wanna explore something else - and move onto another role and just keep jumping around... this wasn't "the norm" back in the day. Back in the day it was: college, then you get a job and stay there for 20 years. Can we PLEASE normalize changing our minds?! Exploring different things?! Not having a job for 10+ years?!?!?!

I just turned 20 recently and been feeling like this since I graduated highschool and didn’t go to college. Social media made me discouraged. I’ve always been a girly girl that likes make up, lashes, lipgloss. I changed my job to help me invest in myself and to be an upcoming makeup artist and I haven’t even started yet but I’m sure I found my passion 💓

Thats the problem tho… like ive tried out tons of things and researched a thousand times and im learning that i just,, don’t like anything. Like nothing sparks my interest, i don’t have hobbies. I do want to be financially free but theres nothing i hold value in that im wiling to work with or study about for hours on end enough to get there. I just geniunely don’t care about anything. When i think about what i want all i can imagine is laying on an island and eating. Thats it. But you need money to both but i have no way of getting money and then that just makes me sad. When people ask “what do you plan on doing” i geniunely just want to say “sleep” but you can’t do that as a daily job. I think im just burnt out

Passions come in so many different ways and you can have more than one passion that don’t seem related to each other I found ❤️

This made me tear up, thank you and love you Queen! What I enjoy is making people smile, like the other day this lady wore cute white adidas she looked so serious and whenever I complimented her her face lit up. Today I want to make people smile and treat myself right

Honestly, I'm one of those people that doesn't have a passion. I've had quite a few jobs and hated each and every one of them with passion. Part of it was the low pay but frankly, I would hate working even if I was paid $100 dollars an hour. I loved being on lockdown because I didn't have to work and got stimulus checks and unemployment and it was nice not having to go to work. I thought I would develop a passion with this time off but I didn't. I suffer burnout from doing anything really. I have a few hobbies I kind of enjoy doing once in a while but even with them I only focus on them here and there. Nothing really excited me. I watch movies, play video games, and read books and that helps a bit but even then I'm not really passionate about that it's just something to help me get through another day. I hate working of any kind so much that I would nearly rather be homeless than doing anything. I feel bad about being this way I truly do. I want to have a passion for something but I don't. I just feel like I'm waiting for my boring life to be over.
