How many metres of fabric do we need for this?
@karolineskandimamadiy
3 жыл бұрын
So sorry for the delay, I have been logged out of my channel :( I used a bit that was an end of the roll, so approx 1 meter. With more you could get longer sleeves or a longer body - that could also be nice :)

I love this video 🙂 how big should the remnant pieces be used for the sleeves?
@karolineskandimamadiy
Жыл бұрын
Depends on how much fabric you have, and how long and wide you have them. But be sure to have enough space so the arms move freely inside the sleeve. For this one, I just made do with what I had.. But your arm width plus at least 6 cm for movement - or more :)

What type of material are you using here?

Hi - its some very light jersey - viscose jersey I think. But it can be made with many types of stretchy materials.

Time saving info: you have to have a serger for this.

The fit is nice. The way the stripes do not line up takes it from hand crafted, to homemade. Too bad.

Have you seen striped clothes on store lately..very poorly made. Rather have it homemade to your liking..and I like it alot.

Nothing wrong with homemade things.

With stripes and plaids, it's best to cut each layer separately, laying one cut piece over the fabric to match the pattern for the second layer. It's a bit more fussy and time-consuming, but I prefer it. No judgment here. To each her/his own.

Really didn't notice that. I just liked the tutorial itself. I wouldn't use stripes myself, anyway.
