Hi there, i use to have dandruff struggle finally i find the way i never see it again. you need only two components: 1-Good soap bar ( like the one you already have) 2- ACV ( 1 table spoon for every 100 ml water) Method instruction ( hair washing) : 1- Spray your hair with ACV 2- Apply soap on ACV ( super balanced for scalp, double effect on dandruff) 3- Wash with water 4- Last think before leaving shower, spray your hair with ( ACV leave in conditioner: it is completely natural) don't worry about smell as ACV already mix with water. [ "Dandruff cannot beat leave in conditioner "] . * Wash your hair 3 times per week ( not once, as ever think used is natural) = i never see dandruff again. like your video, (Malaysia).tq

If you’re still looking for a dandruff solution... I have dry, itchy scalp with lots of dandruff (it was really bad. The dandruff would come in 4 hours after my hair dried). I’m one of those people who don’t get an oily scalp. So if it wasn’t for the itching, I wouldn’t need to wash my hair. I sort of found a solution (I’ve only been doing this for 2 weeks), I’ll know how well it works after the 6 week mark, but the dandruff I’ve had since I was a child is completely gone. The severe itching has subsided to a level where I can finally sleep at night. I shampoo bar my scalp, then apply root juice (recipe below), put on a shower cap, and let my body heat help the juice absorb into my scalp. I wait 30 minutes to an hour (an hour is better). Then wash it out with shampoo bar. I rinse my hair and scalp with diluted lemon juice mixed with apple cider vinegar (don’t do a final rinse with water). The apple cider vinegar smell will go away when it dries. Root juice recipe: 1 onion, juiced (the sulfur is very good) 2 tbs ginger, juiced 2 tbs lemon juice (I used bottled lemon juice) 2 tbs apple cider vinegar with “mother” I found that the onion and garlic smell went away after shampoo bar and ACV rinse. Do this every day for the first week, then every second day for the next week. Then evaluate for yourself how often you need it (I’m just starting week 3). One more point, your hair is last in line for when your body allocates nutrients. The juice juice recipe has antioxidants, good nutrients, and antifungal properties that adsorb faster into your scalp than your body can allocate to it.

For the Chagrin Valley, you should have tried the soapnuts shampoo bar. But they do have a section where they help you with chosing the right shampoo bar for your scalp concerns. 😊

Sometimes dandruff isn't caused by what you're using or what you're not using to wash your hair... it could be something that is lacking in your diet/nutrition or there's too much of one thing that you shouldn't be doing.

I use Eufora products and while I think they have some natural ingredients they aren't completely all that good for your hair, but I like them. You make me want to go no shampoo though, I wonder how it would be if I started out with this shampoo bar. I'd be interested to see that video of your 1-7 day hair. :)

OK Thanks! I needed someone like you :D I'm new at no-poo stuff and for now I'm trying the baking soda and apple vinegar method but I feel like it's not enough.My hair is not greasy and I ususlly don't have dandruff. But lately I loose a looooot of hair-and I'm getting really scared. That's why I've started with the noo poo. Thank you for your advices -I think I'm going to find some of those bars. I thought that it is same as shampoo- but I guess you are right-if it's just natural oils and chemicals- no harm right? Also just wanted to say that I find you really cute and smart girl-so thumbs up and I started following you :D :D

If you use coconut oil hair mask, you can use egg yolks and water. I have waist length hair, I use two yolks to four cups of water ratio. First rinse oiled hair with warm water and get as much oil out as possible. Then using ~half of egg mixture, apply hair with egg mixture on scalp and then soak the rest of your hair. Rinse with Warm or cold water. With half of mixture remaining in your bottle/cup, soak you hair in it for another 3 mins or so. Rinse again. To take the eggy smell out, use a vinegar or tea rinse for last step. Towel/air dry your hair, do not apply heat. You might have one or two tiny pieces of egg white left in your hair that you might need to pick out. Do this process no more than once a week, otherwise you hair will have too much protein. You can google this and do further research on your own time. Good luck!

I'm thinking about starting no poo but don't know where to start. Do you recommend starting with the baking soda and apple cider vinegar transitioning to the shampoo bars or should I just start with the shampoo bars and not do baking soda? Or what other method would you recommend starting no poo with?

I tried Jr. Liggets but didn't like them so much :( I live in the Netherlands, and Chagrin Valley is so expensive for shipping!! I usually just get the sample bars because I can't afford them otherwise. The thing I didn't like about Jr. Liggets is that they put a really wax-y buildup on my hair that I couldn't get away - my (woodenn) brush was completely guncked up with wax and it wasn't pretty to clean. Even with ACV rinses, infusions, etc. I couldn't get the wax off :( So if someone has a method on how to get the wax-y buildup off of my hair that would be great!! Then I could go back to buying Jr. Ligget :) Thanks!!

I wish it was mentioned so much more when videos are made about shampoo bars - is the type of Water they have. I bet you have some hard water that you're using and it can cause a reaction when it interacts with the shampoo bar. You can filter some water and see if that makes a difference in how the shampoo bar works for you. I'm certainly no expert, but I am considering making a video sharing the importance of the type of water you use with a shampoo bar or other Castile soap (like Dr. Bronner's if you don't mind how alkaline it is as it is a soap, and not particularly meant as a gentle shampoo for your hair). The minerals or lack thereof makes a big, big difference. 🙂

I used to have mad crazy dandruff before transitioning to a vegan lifestyle. Have you thought about an elimination diet? Have you thought about eliminating dairy for a month? I think this could really help you. Try to eliminate dairy before meat ;o) I hope this helps :o) Hate to hear you so frustrated :o(

Why do I have a soap film on my hair.
@elisabethryder4719
Жыл бұрын
That's likely hard water reacting with the soap. Hard water has minerals that can leave a residue when it interacts with the quite alkaline (like Dr. Bronner's) soap or shampoo bar. It may also happen if you use too much...? It's a highly personal experience that works for some and not others and so on. Hope that helps. 🙂

Hi Rachel, do you know if the water in your shower is hard or soft? It might have something to do with the water rather than the shampoo bar method. Might need a water filter attachment to your shower head.
