The best tricks are those ones that are so simple you can't see it. SO great!!

Fantastic - thanks for sharing. I would reveal the card at the end the same way but using Alan White's 'pateo' (pick any two eliminate one) force.

Since viewing this video I’ve used this when I’ve been challenged by any of the ‘oh so you’re a magician, huh? Show me something’ crowd. It has worked every time. So simple. Great in bars because the magic is already in the glass at your fingertips. Works on Air-cushion finish, plastic coated and vintage cards. A great trick to have at your disposal. 👍🏼

Hi Dan, as always, THANKYOU for showing us your INCREDIBLE CARD MAGIC. You are EXCELLENT. I sorta had you busted when you tapped that face-down card instructing the spectator that you are going to place the top half back on top of the bottom half on the table. When you revealed the secret, I was sorta wrong, lol. I had learned this version once before, a while ago. But, you didn't do the version that I learned. Lol. About a year ago, I learned a version like your trick on youtube from the awesome card magic channel, THE CARD MECHANIC. He explains how the trick had fooled many magicians when the magician who created it performed it for them. The CARD MECHANIC taught us that a little bit of SALT is used to put on the face-down card that you tap and to get some SALT on the back of the card that the spectator is to put their card on top of. You probably knew this version or not. Lol. He said to have a spectator choose a card from a cut. Instruct the spectator to take the top card they cut to, and while he / she is looking at their card and showing it to others, to put your lightly, moistened pointer finger in your pocket to put a little bit of SALT on your finger. While you are instructing your spectator to place their chosen card back on top of the half that they cut to, you tap the top card a few times with your finger to get some of the salt on it. After they place the card back on top if the half that they cut to, tell them to cut the deck one, or more times. You then cut the deck to their chosen card and reveal it to them and to the others. I use a slightly different method. When the deck is cut by myself or the spectator, I have them pick up the top card that they cut to. I LEAVE the deck in 2 HALVES. Then the half I want to use, which is usually the top half, is the finger that I tap the salt on. Just make sure the half that you want to use is tapped with your finger a few times to get some of the SALT on it. Lol. I PREFER to use the top half, and I like shuffling that top half before tapping that top card. Then I have them put their card on top, and then I put the bottom half of the deck on top, this way, the deck has a complete, honest cut. Haaa haaa Now, the spectator can cut the deck one or more times, and then YOU WILL CUT the deck to where their card is and YOU CAN then REVEAL their chosen card and look like a superstar, Lol. Last week, I re- watched and re- learned this trick by THE CARD MECHANIC, and I performed it yesterday for family. I used a sandwich baggie with some salt in it and put the baggie in my pocket so my pocket didn't have loose salt in it, and feel gritty. Lol. There are smaller sandwich baggies to use, or a small container, whatever you want to use. The KZitem listing by THE CARD MECHANIC is Titled, OTHER MAGICIANS ARE FOOLED BY THIS TRICK. I'm not sure how correct that is. I will dble check it, and if I am wrong or way off, I will edit this or write another comment. If I am not mistaken, THE CARD MECHANIC mentions the name of the magician who created this awesome trick, as he usually gives credit to the magicians who create the tricks and who deserve the recognition. I hope you and your readers and fellow magicians, like your trick and this trick, as well. Blessings, Glen

Brother, Congratulations for this trick. But I do not do it perfectly after shuffling cards . It seems almost difficult to execute. Two cards not stick together most of the time it detched from one another and puting me in trouble. Will I use double side tape or we sticky glue for the better performance. You are requested to comment particularly on this trick in your upcoming video as soon as possible. God bless you all. Thank you so much .Suresh and family. Odisha.

Tape or glue would be hard to do with a borrowed deck. I would suggest just working on the amount of moisture you transfer to the bottom card when you tap it, you're either using too much or not enough.

@@MindBlownMagicIllusion I can't count that high especially since I just bought an expensive snake and a mouse and tongs and went out to a pizza restaurant yesterday.
