They're wearing steel that's bright and true They carry news that must get through. They choose the path where no-one goes. They hold no quarter. Walking side by side with death, The devil mocks their every step The snow drives back the foot that's slow, The dogs of doom are howling more They carry news that must get through, To build a dream for me and you They choose the path where no-one goes. This is good but 1973 MSG still reigns supreme! IMO the greatest solo ever played...

Jimmy page's hands down craziest no quarter live solo . And that too at celebration day. No words at all👏

This is not the craziest guitar solo for this song. You should listen providence 1973, boston 1973, milwaukee 1973, detroit 1975, philly 1975, uniondale 2/4 1975 and finally Earl's Court 5/18's nq solos to know how crazy good solos jimmy played for this song. Nevertheless this version is pretty amazing too.

Consider. Jason, the son of the original drummer for Zeppelin, follows through, beat for beat. This is a mystical dynasty.

5:35 and 8:00 Page is far out. He knows how to sound dramatic , suspenseful. Like a film score

I can't stop listening to 5:35 - it's so hauntingly beautiful. I think it encapsulates life and the rawness of the human experience in such an ethereal way.

Page is a versatile guitarist that's for sure. He plays with so many different styles and tones he really makes the other rock guitar players in the 70s seem like one trick ponies.

John Paul Pautl Jones and JRR Tolken share the same birthday as me; my favourite musician, in my favourite band who wrote so many songs about Lord of the Rings, share the same birthdays as me...lol...it tickles me to my core lol But isn't Jonesy amazing whatever he touches, yous should hear his mandolin with this spanish band, where he improves a perfect spanish style solo, I mean, this band never ceases to amaze me. And Zeppelin got me through so much pain and turmoil and was always there through the best times too.. Have a great day all

The solo on this live version is easily comparable to when jimmy was in his prime. Probably the best solo of his I’ve ever heard.

Its as if the energy of John Bonham just miraculously embodies the spirit and soul of his talented son Jason. What a godsend he is to keeping the integrity of the songs as they were originally written to be played.
