🌹Je t'aime la vie en rose. I love Edith Piaf, her songs live on and so does her spirit. I'm french🇨🇦Canadian, Canadienne francaise, I refer to myself as Frenglish, je suis franglaise. My Mum loved 'je regret rien' she sang it throughout my lifetime, my Mum and her had many of the same traits and I💔miss them both. 👏🏻Thanks for sharing the beautiful musical memories she created.

One correction. Edith did NOT die of liver cancer. She died through the pains and medication prescribed for her chronic rheumatoid arthritis. I know, my Father was registrar there back in '63.

I'm glad you published that fact. My father had liver cancer and, being a doctor, he knew and told me that he would die of something else first; liver cancer is very a very slow disease he said that wasn't what was going to take him out, so it didn't make sense to hear she died of liver cancer. Thanks for paying attention.

There wasn't an autopsy so we will never really know for certain. Her liver was probably failing due to severe abuse of alcohol. Pain killers could have caused her stomach eruption that caused her to collapse on stage. It could have been a brain aneurysm. But most of her friends and colleagues thought liver cancer.

@@bbhall020202 There didn't need to be an autopsy / post mortem performed as her degenerative states were consistently logged and monitored. Pain relief sent her to the end as her joints had seized up and the pain of movement was unbearable. Only those that *didn't* know her or her condition wild-guessed the cancer rumours, which professionally were flawed.

So pleased to hear her singing in the 2020 Allstate commercial. Recognized her immediately. Love the way the current generation continues to reach back to such legendary singers from the 1950's as Edith Piaf and Yma Sumac (IPhone). Bravo!!

😔 knowing she had rheumatoid arthritis breaks my heart as I am suffering from the same illness. Our medicines kill us. I'm just discovering her at 54 years old. Her life story was sad. Certainly one of the best vocalists of all times.
