There are technically “lakes” in Bahrain but the water from them would need desalination to drink, trust me. But areas with said lakes have been used for land reclamation so what’s left is about 10% of what it used to be

@persianimmortal6906 well when you're talking about Mexico you boudoir say 'the Mexican gulf next to Mexico" you'd say "the gulf next to mexico" as there is only one gulf and therefore no need to specify. Same as the Indian ocean, there's only one ocean near India and so you'd reger to it as the ocean when taking about India. Glad I could give you this English lesson

@persianimmortal6906 it's English bro, this is basic grammar. When you have already reference the location you don't need to specify anything that endemic to that location. Let's say for instance I am at a fire station near school and its he only fire station nearby. What do you think is the grammatically correct way to say. "I'm at the fire station" or "I'm at the fire station at school" this is basic English dude

Because in the Arabic language, the name Bahrain is a combination of salt water (the sea) and fresh water (from springs), so its name is Bahrain, the land of salt water and fresh water.

What’s “the gulf” area? The name is clearly Persian gulf. You don’t hear anyone calling the Gulf of Mexico “the gulf area”. As an educational channel the attention to detail shouldn’t be skipped.
@zachv

He’s not calling it the gulf area as the name of the gulf he’s saying the area around the gulf and since this is a clip of a video, he already probably specified it was the Persian gulf
