We have a no buy year every year. The blessing of being just above the poverty line I guess 🤣🤣🤣 still I find videos like this satisfying to watch weirdly

I was doing no buy January but I'm thinking of extending it. Maybe 6 months, maybe a year. Still getting my hair and nails done and I have some necessary dental treatment coming up, but that's it. I certainly don't need any clothes or makeup or skincare or bathing items

I am doing no spend January. But we are getting a few feet of snow this week so I had to break down and buy a new shovel. So I will continue into February. It's been easier then I thought

Best of luck saving for a house. We live in the US. But we are set to pay off our mortgage this year. It came with a lot of sacrifices but it is so worth it. I am really rooting for you.

So relatable! I’m doing a no spend depth year this year. I have a diary that I’m writing down the “allowed” purchases so I can keep track of what’s being spent.

I've started to try spending less this month and to help, everything time I've had the urge to buy something, or have used some sort of voucher, the amount would have spent I transfer in my savings/ other account there and then. It's so motivating seeing the money add up and has made me realise what money I could have wasted on coffee and clothes I don't need! Love your money saving and organisation videos 😊

That's such a great way of doing it!! You can see there and then how much you're saving. The amount of times I've gone to buy a jumper or a candle this month and then had to hold back! Saved loads already! Well done xx

This is great! I'm excited to see your progress! I'm doing a no buy for all of 2019 and am excited to see how it changes my approach to beauty, fashion, and spending money in general. It sounds like we have some similarities as well. I also was really good at saving for a while, but got out of that habit more recently. :(

What do you think about doing a pre-owned only, buying year? You would still be able to buy things but at significantly reduced prices. I think that would be very interesting.

Thankfully I have 2 boys 2 years apart so poor little George just gets all the hand me downs! So that saves loads of money but I would try and be as restrictive with them as you are yourself, I always over spend on them too but they have all they need, if they grow out of something of course you need to replace it but just go in with a plan and only get what they need replacing. Or do it online at one store so you don't get tempted elsewhere and set a budget before you do it! Xx
