It’s really obvious on the first adjustment. The tone changed. You can see him attempting to get the right tone using the guitar knobs. He changes the peddle tone and boom, exactly how he wanted it.

@@targhee159 🤠 Yep. Good ear. He was constantly making adjustments during his live shows with his guitars, pedals, amps, etc... He knew exactly what sound he was looking for at any given time, and if he ever DID drop a pick it's because he meant to after wearing it down to a nub! LOL! Then grabbing a fresh one off the mike stand. (I have one of his Fender medium tortoise shell picks!) 👍

Do you know where Stevie Ray Vaughan's first big break came? He was playing with Double Trouble at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 1982 and another famous performer saw him and asked for him to work as a studio musician. That performer was David Bowie and SRV was featured on the Let's Dance album. You can hear him playing the "outro" (opposite of intro) at the end of the title track. And while the video shows Bowie playing guitar, that's actually SRV. And it p###ed SRV off as well.

Joy-Jean, I love watching your reaction. Know that Stevie Ray is smiling down at you from Heaven. You are who he wanted to play for....someone who feels what he is channeling through his fingers into his guitar and straight into your heart. Since you love him so much I have to tell you how to pronounce his last name. It's 'von'. It rhymes with 'on' or 'dawn'. Now listen to him get mellow with 'Pride and Joy' and fantasize that he's sing about you. Next watch his 'Cold Shot' video. It's hilarious and is an ironic satire to the lyrics.
