That woman has no idea how lucky she is that buffalo was so ok with her being so close and just calmly lay there. People seem to assume herbivore equals friendly/tame/safe but really it’s the opposite. Herbivores can be far more dangerous and unpredictable than predators, especially when they have the size and weight of a buffalo and big horns. Most herbivores are prey animals. They’re far more wary of anything potentially being a threat and have a much stronger need to protect themselves. A wolf most likely won’t attack you if you accidentally wander near it unless you give it enough reason to or it thinks you’re food and is hungry (though obviously you still shouldn’t just go walking up to wolves) and will more likely move away or just cautiously keep an eye on you but a buck or moose…. they are at least as likely if not more likely to defend themselves as they are to try to get away. Of course herbivores aren’t always more dangerous than the predators. A rabbit isn’t more dangerous than a tiger. But a BUFFALO is definitely more dangerous than some wolf or something similar.

Was a Starbucks barista for 7 years. She’s trying to get double her drink for the price of 1 and the baristas are probably tired of her shit. People think asking for no ice means ‘filled to the top’. The baristas are making the drinks to the correct volume (there’s little black lines on the side) and she’s pissed that it’s not full. When I was a supervisor I used to just fill them to the top with water if it were tea, and nonfat milk (was hard to go through those), so it fooled their dense little brains and they left without an argument. (Obviously within safe food handling rules, never put anyone at risk with caffeine or allergy issues)

Ugh I worked at a McDonald's in an upper middle class suburb of Cleveland across the street from a police station when I was in high school. I can't tell you the number of people who threw things at me for someone else getting the order wrong or the grill not making their custom burger to their seriously high expectations. And this was in the 90s before cell phones. I feel like Karens and Darrens were worse back then because there was no record of their behavior, and they didn't stick around long enough for the cops to come (even from across the street). I had a manager who asked the guy to go out to the parking lot after the guy threw a burger at me. I'd never seen Marty so pist. He ripped off his drive-thru headphone and stormed out after the guy. No fight occurred, but the guy seriously ran with his tail between his legs when he realized Marty was not fvcking around. Great manager. Now my 17yo daughter works in customer service in an upper-class suburb (not food service as she hated it) and has some awful stories. But good ones too. They're allowed to accept tips where she works, and a couple once tipped her $50 for being helpful and kind to them. So there's always good people to remind her that not everyone is an azzhole. But it's around Christmas so she's definitely dealt with a lot of azzholes over the last month.

9:27 as someone who has worked with bison before, they are lovely sweet creatures! But they are also huge and can do some serious damage. I'd personally rather pet a yak. But yeah, don't be stupid aroun big herbivores. I wouldn't even dare to touch a yak, even though they are domesticated, until I get it okayed by the owner.

LGBTQIA+ rights would actually be a heck of a lot easier to legislate and achieve than economic stability, as the latter depends on a lot of factors that are out of not only USA Government but humanity's control. e.g. we do not control the weather, which will affect crop harvests, which will affect wholesale prices, which will affect shelf prices. While we're sorting out LGBTQIA+ legislation, we can also sort out universal basic income and universal healthcare in the USA. It's not an either or, we can do them all.

19:05 the moment you said “remember you’re a guest there,” i was reminded of a friend i had in elementary school who was taught that the guest should always have their way, and instead of hearing “treat your guests kindly,” she heard “when i’m at my friend’s house, it’ll be MY TURN to be a total brat.” somehow i get the feeling that telling these kinds of people “you’re a guest” won’t put them on their best behavior, tragically!

For real THIS. I get suuuuper wary and immediately angry at anyone making fun of other people's body movements, because it is almost always ableist. Just fucking let people do their thing, it's not harming anyone for them to be moving in a way you're not used to. And I feel you on the shame, too, like it's so frustrating to see that people do actually make fun of people for stuff like that, because it just contradicts all the convincing I've done for myself that no one actually is paying that much attention to me. It just reinforces my internalized ableism and that's so garbage. But honestly, being disabled in public is so important and even though this kind of stuff makes me want to hide, it helps me a lot to think about the representation I'm providing for others to know it's okay to be visibly disabled, to move "weird," to be publicly ourselves. Because fuck those people, I care way less about what they think than what a young disabled person thinks when they see me living my life.

Figured there’s no harm in writing a comment about this- on a somewhat similar subject, would you ever consider doing a video on the demonization/generalization of narcissistic personality disorder/NPD? I’m not one myself, but I’ve had a former friend and some relatives who might have been. I saw this guy on Instagram who is a diagnosed narcissist, and posts often about the realities of his brain and his disorder. He gets a lot of hate comments. I’m very interested in mental disorders and psychology in general, so I’ve always wanted to know more about “taboo” ones like NPD. You’re one of my favorite commentary creators on here so I figured you could do the subject justice
