Its more like the elite running back in the market is a power play for a team looking for that true final piece of their offense. Saquon can go hog wild running behind the strong Eagles O-line. Henry compliments the Ravens where even if they go heavy and condensed, teams who still play base but not having big bodies inside are going to get run over. Ravens O-line is shot for talent even on pass pro but Lamar being shifty helps them out.

The Ravens, IMO have three major problems: 1) The offensive line. The guard positions are manned by young players who are, at best, having trouble getting up to speed (Voorhees, who's functionally a rookie), not playing well (Faalele), or apparently digging themselves a hole with the coaching staff and getting left off the field (Cleveland). It's hurting our ability to get adequate push and it makes the run game weaker. I'm confident that Voorhees will get better (he's uneven but his good moments are good), I'm less confident that Faalele will (he's had three years to develop; he could improve but there's no reason to expect that he will), or that Cleveland will work his way out of the doghouse. 2) Second-half defensive meltdowns. Now, part of this is that the offense is getting stagnant in the second half (I think hurt by the O-line issues making pressing the run game harder than it needs to be to close out games) and the defense having to play a lot of snaps, but also I think Zach Orr is having trouble with second-half adjustments. TBH, this worries me the least; four or five games into his tenure, a lot of fans were calling for McDonald's head for pretty much the exact same reason, and we all know how he turned out. I'll start worrying if the calendar flips to November and it's not getting any better. 3) The penalties. I'm not sure what's going on here. Some of these are genuine penalties, but I don't want to be the "blame the refs" guy, but it seems the Ravens are getting dinged with at least two or three 'phantom' or marginal penalties per game that other teams seem to get away with. Occasionally (KC) there will even be games where the Ravens get dinged for something repeatedly while their opponent is getting away with it in the same game (Stanley's illegal formation penalties while the Chiefs LT was consistently lining up in the backfield), and they invariably come at terrible times. While there's definitely coaching issues that are leading to poor discipline, I'm hopeful those will improve (we've had high-penalty starts to seasons where the Ravens have cleaned them up before). The officiating, I'm not sure what to do with. Dak managed to draw a Roughing call on Oweh that Lamar would *never* get the benefit of (and frankly shouldn't have been called; Oweh was pushing through a lineman to get to Dak and the ball left his fingers an instant before Oweh made contact and he had no way to pull up), and he also got away with a play that we watched Lamar get flagged for intentional grounding for a safety in literally the same circumstances last year. Like there are some of these that there's just legitimately nothing the Ravens can do anything about because it seems like the refs are just out to get them at times.

Bears' fans deserve _ALL_ the misery they accepted. You all went into denial & are still there. Bears' fans: "Fields sucked & it had Nothing Whatever To Do with play-calling. We're also glad Getsy's gone because he sucked." At what if not play-calling? 1) Eberflus boasted about meddling in the offense. 2) When those plays where Fields stopped himself from throwing to wide-open receivers were called, at first you all *knew & accepted that* they were play-calls saying "the Bears _had to_ call those plays to simplify the offense for Fields because he can't read defenses." (Did you know that Brett himself made a video _proving_ Fields reads them at an elevated level)? 3) When Fields called this out publicly, the Bears changed all their plays for 4 weeks then returned to the former play-sets. So they did it just long enough for media to stop asking questions about it. Then they switched back to plays that scored fewer points. So here's everything you ignored: A) You all _SAW_ them switch from plays that averaged 31 points a game back to ones that averaged 17.3. B) You all blamed Getsy. Yet how is Eberflus an innocent bystander? How is a competent HC unable to see what you casual fans did? C) How did Getsy _possibly_ sneak bad plays onto the field *for a year and a half* without this competent HC noticing? He was responsible for the terrible offense before & did everything he could possibly have done to make it obvious it was intentionally done to sabotage Fields. Steelers' fans rose to the occasion & rescued themselves from Matt Canada, Bears' fans are utter cowards who sided with this new HC they knew was willing to utterly ruin your QB. Enjoy your 4th-rounder. I hope it was worth not getting MHJ & maybe some o-line help.

Panthers @ Raiders... from a Raiders fan. The Panthers clearly have an elite OL - the Chargers came nowhere near nullifying Crosby and Wilkins like the Panthers did. They have good weapons and a good running game - with good QB play, I'm convinced they can be a top 10 NFL offense. Their coverage unit is also great - their run D is their only weak link... and in this game they faced the pitiful Raiders rushing attack. The Raiders OL is a problem - Miller is playing like he spent the whole offseason recovering from surgery; Whitehead is awful and shouldn't be starting... and the same can be said about James at Center. While the media was praising us for resigning him, the fans were howling - we've had 4 years of watching Chris Jones throw this guy into our QB... he just isn't a good player - far too weak. At this point, Miller getting game fit and JPJ starting is our only path to a functional line. None of our moves to build a rushing attack over the last few years have made any sense... we had an elite zone RB (Jacobs) and we made him to run mostly power, behind a smallish IOL built for zone. Now we have brought in an OC that runs zone, but we let our zone back go, and kept our power RB (White). White is poor at seeing cut back lanes, poor at making those cuts, and unable to make a defender miss... which he needs to because we're running from deep and the opposing DTs are usually already in the backfield before he gets the ball.

Yeah, I also think the Steelers might have fundamentally misunderstood how to use Queen. Queen was at his best when he was freed up to just attack and pursue and use the speed that was his best feature, which happened when Ro was brought in. He's not a Mike, he's naturally a 3-4 Will, at his best on the attack, and he is not a clean enough tackler to be a good clean-up guy like you usually want your Mike to be. People say "Oh, he just benefitted from playing next to Roquan" and yes, he did, but not because people ignored him and focused on Ro, but because their playstyles were complementary. Ro being the clean-up guy freed up Queen to be more aggressive. He no longer has the benefit of a clean-up guy to make him right if he comes screaming in but misses his tackle, which pre-Roquan trade happened *a lot* to him in Baltimore.

Haha, when the Vikes beat them, some folks said playing the Giants was like a bye. I thought the Giants showed a bit, and were just outplayed. The WRs had about 5 drops. So now the Browns, a supposed contender have actually lost to the bye. And the Commanders were lucky to beat the bye as you note, and went on to beat the Bengals, another supposed contender. Sounds like the bye is going well. I think the bye will beat the Cowboys this week.

@@robe2504 if the pass rush gets home like they did last week and Malik balls out again they very well could

@@robe2504 The problem is it's early in the season and the Browns are volatile; we're not going to know whether beating the Browns is impressive or one of those wins you're just supposed to get until at least Week 8. Mostly because Deshaun is ass.

It’s hilarious how I predicted the cowboys to be this ass lol if Jerry dosent hire belichick, kubiak, Ben Johnson or Ben johnson as head coach next season cowboy fans should boycott…cowboys can’t run the ball, defend the run, have no weapons for most part and no coaching

The 49ers loss is the type of loss that signifies the team isn't as good as last season. And with the injuries that keep piling up, I'm sensing this is going to be a lost season for them.

I doubt it. If the Niners offense can get back to full strength by the end of October, that could get them into a 5 game win streak especially if its at the soft part of their schedule. Defense will still be a question if its worse than last year with the inability to stop the run.

I hope for Brice that this is what he needs to fix himself and become a better QB.

Just so every bettor here knows. Dalton sucks. Raiders D just sucked more. Do not put any Dalton props into your bets week 4

I'd be surprised if Dalton exceeded his performance from last season by having 2 straight weeks of baller games. Positive news for Panthers fans to keep pounding by the end of September but nothing else for the rest of the season.

The last time Carolina had a 3 score lead was probably vs the Lions in 2022 when they ran all over us

I am sorry Brett but is it just possible that everyone missed on Bryce Young and he just was another Ryan Leaf. That Carolina didn’t “ruin” him. When I think of teams ruining a QB, I think of Texans and David Carr. That kid was running for his life for 4 years.

Honestly, you got to break down Jared Verse tape. He's been bullying some serious talent. What an absolute monster!
