Noheji has had trade with Kyoto since ancient times, and the festival has its roots in Kyoto. The bronze statue of the Japanese army in Hakkoda is a memorial to the world's largest disaster that occurred approximately 100 years ago. Here is a video of the current route of the Hakkoda snow march. kzitem.info/news/bejne/opulrJuLh5-HjY4

@@YukitoManager Noheji was also an ancient port that was a middle point between Japan and china trade via Ainu when Japan could not trade directly with china ((Northern Fujiwara era??) .. can’t recall 日本語の言葉。 but translated something like Northern Red Silk route … and whether or not Ainu traded directly with China or Ainu traded with other middlemen like Nivekh or Orokh ???

The Oshu Fujiwara clan was an aristocrat who was active during the Heian period. There are still many place names in Aomori Prefecture that are said to have originated from the Ainu language, and trade with the Ainu has existed since ancient times. According to records, evidence of trade has been excavated from the Jomon period, which is said to be the oldest era in the world (from the Sannai Maruyama ruins, etc.), but the humans of that era were ancient Japanese living in Hokkaido. They are also said to be a separate race from the Ainu.

@@YukitoManager Yes indeed. but my mention of the northern silk route was a particular thing. I will have to look it up again for you. The other ancient port I recall was far northxwestern Tsugaru the Lake Jusan ... but what you mentioned before about Kyoto: 1) isn’t there some connection with 上北弁 with dialect near Kyoto? 2) Wasnt this something to do with the Kitamaebune trade and Mutsu?
