A little context:
For as long as I can remember, my family has shared a peculiar taste for less conventional music. My father, Camilo López, since I was a child, played old cassettes with hundreds of hours of recordings from a program that aired certain hours of the night [or that's what my father tells me]: Radio Pirata; presented by Jairo Guerrero. This program broadcast a lot of underground music, of all kinds and nothing "commercial", - evidently, I only listened to its vestiges, since I was not a contemporary of this program - and what caught my attention the most in adolescence (at the same time that my father continued listening to Radio Pirata) was industrial music; It was "most aggressive", "strange", avant-garde and not at all compatible with the music he heard at the time: metal, hardcore and their derivatives. Now, after years comparing more genres, I began to admire Noise, but when I joined the crust punk band Edictio Turbatio (led by Juan Corredor-dear uncle-) I found in punk a simile with industrial music: noise.
Noise: Frentic Chaos was born from the genuine need to know the most experimental sounds of music and how these have come to found, condition or provide meaning to entire movements. From a neutral perspective, even knowing the diverse political, conceptual and provocative inclinations that noise has as genre, I decide to interview several faces of noise: these artists are a big part of the movement that have the most forceful and, in some parts, longest-lived projects
from my perspective as a follower of his music. Through social networks I contacted not only with the six exponents of the documentary-Micaela, Mauricio, Santiago, Juanito, Alberto and Bruno-but with many more people related to the musical genre who, due to work, student, travel and various reasons, could not open a space in your agenda that, however, I am eternally grateful to you for allowing some of your material to be used in this piece (Mente-Atada; Thank you, Matías Mosca!).
Noise: El Caos Frenético was born as a microdocumentary that grew in a way exponential since all the material collected, the hours of
Interviews, the people contacted, the long-standing musical genre and experimentation have no limit.
Thanks to my father, my family who listened to unconventional music, Juan Corredor, Radio Pirata, the Internet, the infamous William Bennett, the noise and everyone involved in the documentary!
