The phone died within 4 and a half days and I rarely use it. I charged it with the original charger, Bluetooth off, wifi off, data off, and brightness is only at 20%. I have been testing this Nokia 6300 4G phone for about 3 weeks now. I bought it brand new from Amazon. The glassy keys are not smooth, and makes typing difficult. The battery life is only 1 day or less, and this is when I did nothing else with it, but only sent 2-3 text messages and made a 5-10 min phone call. The wifi hotspot sharing was very slow or did not work. I had Nokia/Cingular T9 phones back in days, and the quality today doesn't match what was available back in the late 90s/early 2000s. Which carrier are you using with the Banana Phone? The phone was not launched in the US and I have always been hesitant to buy it on eBay if it will not work on T-Mobile.

ATT for the 8110 (Bananaphone). Otherwise it won't work.

Can you dive into the maps feature a bit more. Does it act like true Google maps? Does it tell you traffic and alternative routes? If there is a wreck while driving will it tell you to change course? I'm thinking this if the route I'm going to go, i just want to know what I'm getting myself into.
@JoseBriones
Жыл бұрын
No. It's a list of steps to get to your destination. You have to switch to the next step when you are done with step 1 for example. It's not live turn by turn navigation. If you rely on GPS to get around I would not recommend it

@@JoseBriones is there a minimalist phone with live gps or do I need to look for separate devices? In a perfect world I would have email, gps and group texting. I work in healthcare and need email access at the least.

Guys, which one would you recommend: 225 or 6300? What's the big main differences?
@JoseBriones
Жыл бұрын
6300 has access to apps and a web browser. 225 is very basic with a focus on text and calls.
@apisDei
Жыл бұрын
6300 runs on KaiOS and therefore has WhatsApp, other apps and can do hotspot. 225 runs Series30+ and therefore doesn't have those features and runs more smoothly.

I m a feature phone fan and l bought this nokia, the experience was terrible. I don't pretend a feature phone doing same as a smartphone but the screen resolution is lower than my 15 years old nokia, almost can't read clearly the messages. Poor interface with a basic setting and no personalization except change of wallpaper, my old 2710 at least can change contrast, colours and lockscreen. The system stuck or slow from the first day, and this is unacceptable. I don't want judge KaiOs otherwise l can buy an android, but how nokia want get a share market if they provide a mobile with lower quality compared the 15 years old mobile at the price double than other chinese competitors?

@JoseBriones

You can delete most apps, but some of the google ones you can't. If you want calls, texts, and maps there are better alternatives like the Sunbeam F1, Schok Classic, and Snapfone EZFlip 4G.
