Mine came with my Ultra package. I use it as much as I use my Garrett Carrot. I like the seperate tones for ferrous/non-ferrous targets.

I’m pretty partial to the Carrot, but I am intrigued by all the features of this device. I want to try it out in a river to see just how well the ferrous/non-ferrous option works.

Came with the NOKTA LEgend kit..little tempermental but I may have turned on near metal at times..will pay more attention to see if that is the problem. It seems to just go off and not stop unless I bang it or touch button (doesn't have to turn off it just stops buzzing and is good to go)

That’s strange. I haven’t had that problem but I’ve had other Pinpointers not work unless I tapped them on something. The issue was the 9V battery not fitting tightly against the connectors.

Test on small gum foil, my garret is the only pointer that passes this. Curious if this will

I just tested it on level 7 on a piece of Extra. It easily picks up the foil wrapper.

Would this be of any use for testing pure gold bullion? 😅 serious question. I wanna know the gold isnt a junk metal, that discrimination setting could work?
@mdutah-insearchofmormongold
6 ай бұрын
Possibly. It should discriminate between ferrous and non-ferrous metals. So hypothetically, if it was a fake made out of iron, you should be able to tell. I wonder though if it was gold-plated or contained something like copper, how it would react. The only way to know would be to test it on items you know for sure what their composition is.

They run about $139. You can pick them up on Amazon, eBay or from metal detecting dealers. A Google search should point you in the right direction.

You can Google companies to buy from. I purchased this one off Amazon from The Detector Experts but beware! When it arrived, the box was open and there was no charging cable.

I'm glad I watched this, I was thinking of buying one, until... 2 inches maximum? Pass. I have seen others complain that they are getting lines in the display. This will require a trip to the shop to install a new display.

Yeah, there are a lot of cool things about it but I have my concerns as well. I think I’ll stick with the Garrett or Minelab.

Mine will be here friday with my new Legend. This will be my first pin pointer, and 2" is more than enough. I'm so used to using my coil to pinpoint, I may not even use the banana.
