I met Bill Keith at a banjo workshop in Houston back in the late 70s when I was just getting started on banjo. Bill's workshop was way over my head, but his playing made a lasting impression. I was particularly taken by Bill's arrangement of the old ragtime tune "Nola".
A couple years later (1980-1982) while studying Bluegrass and Country Music at South Plains College in Levelland, Texas, I learned to play "Nola" from Bill Knopf's arrangement in the April 1977 Banjo Newsletter. I hope you enjoy it!
