You are welcome, very happy to hear that you are enjoying my tutorials. I do try to keep the music to the background as well. I have many more on the way. If you have any questions about sculpting, put them here in the comments and I will try to make a video for it!

@@Original-Werks I believe my relatively simple Procreated Arched Girder Alpha will work just as it should... except... I just today updated to Nomad 1.68! WOW now every tool is in a new place or hidden away altogether ...hope I can find a good 1.68 NOOB Starter Tutorial now. Cheers! and thank you Lincoln.

No problem. I have started to go through the new tools, the new video for Thursday (Spider) will have a lot of information about the new scene menu changes. My video from Monday, the Beetle has some info as well.

Great video! Thank you. Do you think we can do the female and make them work as a functional bolt and nut?
@Original-Werks

It is possible to do this, not sure how well it would work. I would recommend some clearance in the threads, about half a millimeter. Check out this newer video showcasing how to use the spiral tool, it makes a coil in seconds and can easily be adjusted kzitem.info/news/bejne/1oRnvHqcpKdiiWk

Great video only thing i would suggest is to use PNG not JPEG, since png is a lossless format with less compression it will give you nicer looking alphas in the end.

I have saved identical alphas in both PNG and JPEG files. The alphas when used look identical on the model when I pull texture up. The look of the alpha in either format will look better if you increase the size of the model and increase resolution to around a million or more pixels. I normally recommend using JPEG since it opens up using photos as alphas as well. Really comes down to your choice, they both work well.

I wondered about png. too.

I only use PNG for the transparent background if I need it. I have tried back to back files at the same size with different formats, they appeared the same. Really comes down to preference.

Hi, Thank you for your great tutorial! I tried to make the bolt by cutting a 'spiral tube - tube tool' from a cylinder (instead of duplicating torus). everything works fine up until I select the cylinder and spiral and try to perform voxel re-mesh. voxel re-mesh also works fine but it somehow changes the material of of the cylinder to something darker and when I try to paint the bolt, it looks like there is a dark underlay. for example it changes the blue to dark blue ... . this only happens when I cut a cylinder with spiral. I tried to cut a cube with spiral and it works fine without any issue. do you know what might be the reason? Thank you!

I will try it and see what happens. It might just be a bug right now. Also, upgrade to the new version 1.8. Just came out today, that might take care of it.

I’m not sure how you got the guid to be white. Mine is black.

If you are talking about the grid in Procreate. When you open the drawing guide, at the top of the screen there is a rainbow colored bar. Drag the white dot to a contrasting color as needed. Not sure why I edited that out, my mistake. If you need help with something else let me know.

How would I go about making the internal thread? Would I have to remake it with the same measurements?
@Original-Werks
Жыл бұрын
Just copy the thread portion you made and use it to voxel remove from the nut
