The entire puzzle and the solutions falls within discrete mathematics, set theory and combinatorics in particular. @desmondschneider5397
Жыл бұрын
@@Kasiarzynka There are. If you twist a corner, solving it will leave a corner twisted. If I scramble a cube, it can always be solved. If I twist a corner, it’s impossible without retwisting it. This can be further confirmed by the Bluetooth cube. If I twist a corner, I will not be allowed to calibrate it like that. It’ll say “Oops, looks like a corner has been twisted!” And won’t be solvable until I twist the corner back and resolve it so I can calibrate it. 3x3x3 does have parity issues.

When I was a kid, I really believed that you have to be good in math to solve the rubiks cube lol, but not because of the term "algorithm" being also a math term, but because remembering algorithm is kinda same with remembering equations to me. Also I saw cubing the same way I saw math because both needs you to play within certain rules and there is just one absolute conclusion in evey situation or problem. I thought it'll be hard for me then cause I'm not good in math at all, instead I excel in arts which is kinda the opposite of math. But I guess I'm not so right as a kid, because now I can solve different cubes pretty decently although I'm still really stupid with math lol.
