This concept and variations of it were built in the late 1980s in South Africa, and I was one of the designers however, commercialisation of it fell flat for a number of reasons. Price resistance, 80s production methods, market access, and they were also stolen just for the scrap metal value, just one of the scourges of rural South Africa. Some unscrupulous people just copied the design and built their own, which is perfectly legal as long as you don't produce it commercially for anybody else. (sure.) I hope you are very successful, because we need more of these innovative ideas to become success stories.

Bro ,you don’t have to get out of your car it’s the ultimate lazy dads toy to me🤣🤣, I can guarantee that you don’t even get up to change the channel on the tv,you use the remote,so that little 25 secs of exercise you talk about can kiss my a hole😂😂 It would take me 2 days to stop playing with the damn thing alone!!

I wouldn't mind trying it on my inside pasture gates and places like that. As long as my sheep herd didn't figure it out. I don't think my cows would try it out maybe one of my calves would. I'm curious how long are these gates cause I would need a 16 foot and a 12 foot gates for sure. Great idea!

Does it say/ show anywhere in the video if you can lock it open? How is it installed so that it won't move out of position w/ the way it bounces when opening and closing? Would there be a way of minimizing the bouncing when activated? How does it stand up to weather conditions? Is it water/ dust resistant?

You’d have to get out to lock it open just tie some rope or lock it with some chain

Very cool... but I can see a lot of flex in those wheel ramps. Those will get bent to shit in a few years, just like loading ramps and drain grates do. Still really cool.

I love it, only problem is I can't lock it... which defeats the purpose of a security gate. 😆

It's not a security gate it's a access gate so you can get into coreals and pastures without opening and closing gates every 5 minutes

This is absolutely genius... The problem is just if livestock start walking over it, lol. That can be mitigated by making the metal grill a triangular shape rather than flat though.

A small remote control lock would be quite easy to come up with and would not take very much power. It could be run on a solar cell, no bigger than a few inches
