Great to watch and so important to get an impartial view from non hunters. Having the former minister of conservation a Forest and Bird member, was always going to create a one sided view at the top level. Tahr numbers need managed - no argument. But treat New Zealand’s equivalent of the African Lion, in his majestic surroundings, with the respect and value that it provides for outdoor kiwis, and international species conservation. These provide in income stream for many kiwis and managed correctly, provide a wonderful asset for us all.

The attempt to manage them is defined in the Tahr Control plan. That wasn't mentioned or shown to the non hunters so they could be informed more.

Taking non hunter’s to a hunt field is a great idea. They see what we see, they can experience conservation firsthand. Guess what most of them then understand.

@@thehuntersjournal1771 What reason prevented filming on public land, unless this is a commercial production?
