I did this mod as well on my 901,though I used the mid pipe with the baffle in it (also a cheapie). Louder on cold start, after that idling you can’t even tell, that is until you crack the throttle and then the fun begins. Unfortunately mine was totaled two weeks ago, sitting at a traffic light waiting for the signal to change I was hit from behind by a girl in a pickup truck which drove me into the car in front. Hi there, no loss in power, feels a little more responsive, it’s really hard to tell, I’ve actually kept the decat as it is because I’ve got used to it, when the bike warms up its sounds great. Sound is half the fun for me. I have however found a company making a decent replacement cat to keep it all legal, I think I’m going to get one of those. I would prefer to have the Arrow Decat as it has the resonator, I doubt there is much difference in performance. @@EverymanADV I've found the NiceCNC mount to be quite heavy and also not fitting snugly. I wonder if it'd stress the mount too much on eg. off-road rides. The NiceCNC mount has a flat bottom surface and does not fit perfectly _in_ the recessed mounting area so will potentially shift and put extra strain on the side-bolts or plastic mount-base? The original (hard-plastic) 'tower' mount is a lot lighter and has a couple of 'feet' that make it fit better IMO. But that would not work with your QuadLock setup or RAM arms. Ideally I'd like to see a lighter (flat, non-tower-) mount with APMS holes that fits like the original. What is your experience fitting the NiceCNC mount?

@Ivan K. I’ve not looked at the Expedition close up but if I would think it would arrive the same as the standard 901, with the blanking cap covering the hole were the Sat Nav mount sits, the NICECNC mount is essentially a wedge of anodised aluminium that replaces the blanking plate and has four threaded mounting holes which are in the standard pattern for Sat Nav brackets. The larger Sat Nav mounts like the one that Husqvarna supply are for things like the Zumo XT, I have one of these mounts too but when I added the Quadlock setup the phone protruded too far over the screen.

@Ivan K. Just be sure you know which wire is positive and which is negative as the wire colours on the 901 were not as I expected….and I cannot remember which was which now so I suggest you test first.

Hi, I have the iPhone 15 which is rated IP68 which means it will handle getting wet on a bike fine. The key is to use a wireless charger as cable chargers don’t work well when water gets in. I use Quadlock mounts and wireless charging head, with Quadlock you buy a phone case that is specific to your phone, when the bike is switched on the wireless charging head is live and when the phone is mounted it starts charging automatically. Quadlock kits are modular so you need a combination of Quadlock parts to make the mount including a vibration damper. I get so many quests out my setup I’m thinking of taking it all off and doing a video of the components and how it all fits together. Hope this helps?

Mine may be a little too loud, but the stock system sounds far too restricted, the problem with this bike is that you have no real sound other than the clatter of the two pistons, drivetrain and the muted exhaust tone, and together these don’t sound great. But if you can open things up and give it a little more of the big twin sound it would be a far more enjoyable experience. What I think is needed is a derestricted high-flow cat and then match that with a decent end-can from Akro, Remus, Arrow, Wings, HP Corse etc and you’d be on to a winner but I haven’t found the high-flow cat yet, if it exists, somebody please let me know 🙏
