when plotting density function for (mean =10, sd =5), why dnorm uses x variable as argument? dnorm(x, mean(y), sd(y)), isnt x

Nice. But how do I do this while keeping the frequency?

The "density histogram" makes it possible to show the density curve using the same vertical scale. But if interested in frequency distribution then you should plot the frequencies and not densities. You might also want to consider relative frequencies.

why for normal distribution (mean = 10, sd = 5) you use x variable? in "curve (dnorm(x, mean(y), sd(y))..." isnt x = rnorm(n=1000, mean = 0, sd =1)???? it doesnt make sense.
